Great start to the last live thread with Galal Yafai winning men's Fly GOLD - that's gold number 19 and medal 59.
Tom Daley has had a brilliant first two dives in the 10m final. Can he keep it going? Also keeping an eye on the cycling with Katy Marchant going in the women's sprint.
Third dive over 90 for Daley out of 3.... halfway through and he's just leading the Chinese in 1st place.
Brilliant from Katy Marchant - through to the sprint QFs with an cheeky move to beat Genest from Canada who qualified slightly faster than her. QFs later this morning.
Daley now sitting 3rd behind the Chinese with one dive to go. That's how it will end medal wise unless someone really messes up their last dive.
It's bronze for Tom Daley. His fourth Olympic medal and second of these games. Easily our most successful diver ever and medal 60 for Team GB.
Jack Carlin through to the QFs of the Keirin in a couple of very physical races with multiple crashes. Jason Kenny in the repecharge. His legs just didn't make it the extra year. Shame.
That's better for Jason Kenny - into the QFs via the repecharge.
In the men's penathalon GB's Joe Choong goes into the riding in the lead but we saw what happened to the leader in the riding yesterday. Hope he's not given Saint Boy.
Super exciting men's madison. Medals going to come down to the final sprint I think. GB in the mix. Risk coming 4th.
Brilliant finish by the GB team to get the silver medal in the madison. If they'd gone a few laps earlier I wonder if they could have got the gold. They looked so strong at the end.
Medal 61.
That was what a madison is normally like. Shows how ridiculously dominant Archibald and Kenny were yesterday. 3 points seperated the three medals in the men's race.
Katy Marchant is out of women's sprint. Lee Wai Sze of Hong Hong is such a good racer. So there will be two chances for final cycling medals tomorrow. Laura Kenny in the omnium and Jason Kenny/Jack Carlin in the kerin. Remarkably one more medal + cycling will do better than Rio.
Big news in the race for 4th place - one of ROC's bankers - the individual rhythmic gymnastics gold, has gold to Israel in a big shock. They still have 3 or 4 v good chances. If we can find 2 more gold I think we'll do it.
Going into the laser run of the men's pentathlon - Joe Choong retains his lead. He has a 12 second start over second and 28 seconds over 4th. If he can stay calm for the shooting it could be double pentathlon gold.
Laser run at 11.30.
Final athletics programme starts at 11.35.
Showjumping team final just about to start now.
Any chance of a showjumping medal gone already with four fences down from Holly Smith - our first rider.
DOUBLE PENTATHLON GOLD! Joe Choong wins for GB.
That's gold number 20
Medal number 62.
Just like Kate French yesterday Choong shot incredibly well. And kept plenty of strength in reserve for a final kick on the last lap.
Just seen the US women's 4x400 team - McLaughlin who broke the 400h WR, Muhammad (who also broke the old WR and came second); Allyson Felix (most successful femela athlete ever) and Athing Mu who won the 800m. I wonder if they could challenge the very longstanding WR.
Wow Sirfan Hassan sprints away to win the 10k/5k double. And a bronze in the 1500m. Absolutely nuts.
Hassan only the 2nd woman to win three individual track medals in one games after Fanny Blankers-Koen in 1948. And to do it in distance races as well.
Wow - Jessica Springsteen has a medal! USA will in the gold jump off with Sweden in the team showjumping final.
Pretty sure that's the only father/daughter combo with 20 grammys and an Olympic medal.
This men's 1500m is wide open. Could go anywhere. Cheruiyot probably the favourite.
Jacob Ingebrigtsen ran brilliantly there to win the gold in a new Olympic Record. GB's Josh Kerr ran the race of his life to get the bronze. PB and 2nd on the all time GB list behind Farah. Faster than Coe, Ovett or Cram.
Medal 63.
OK - Not Russia have won 2 golds (expected) in artistic swimming and wrestling. Just 1 behind. They are playing the volleyball final against France in 15 minutes. I have never supported France in any sporting event before, but here goes.
That's India's first gold of the game - and not from where you might expect it....
That's India's first ever athletics gold medal. The last time they won a medal of any colour in athletics Queen Victoria was still their Empress.
Right women's 4x400. US going for a WR. Jamaica likely to be second. GB will have to challenge Poland for bronze but GB have brought in two faster runners from the individual.
5th for GB. US win by miles but not a WR. So that's the end of the athletics for GB. No golds but only one medal down for Rio in the end. And that's with no Farah and Dina/KJT injured. Not bad.
OK so I'm afraid I Can't Believe It's Not Russia are going to win the high jump gold. They are a set behind in the volleyball final. If they win that too it's all over - they will come 4th. If they don't the race is still on.
They have two strong gold chances tomorrow - one almost definite in rhythmic gynmastics team + the final of the handball, also against France. We have three chances - Lauren Price in the boxing and then the women's omnium and men's keirin. But if it's equal they win on silvers.
Anyway will do the medals round up for the day. GB have 20 golds and 63 medals. Compared to previous games:
Rio: 27 golds and 66 medals
London: 28 golds and 62 medals
Beijing: 19 golds and 51 medals
A chance to beat London's medal total of 65.
Not that anyone else will care about this but both my bets have now won. GB obviously well above 45 medals and US will finish on 112. That showjumping medal from them took me over the line. Tight one.
Woo! France beat ROC in a volleyball thriller - three sets to two. So GB and ROC have 20 golds each going into the final day.
GB need golds in Keirin, Omnium and boxing to be sure of 4th place.
If they win two of those then they'll get 4th IF France beat ROC in the handball final.
If GB only win 1 gold then ROC will get it as rhytmic gymnastic team gold is a banker for them.
I won't be live tweeting as it's all overnight (see the weekend preview for details on timing). But I will do a wrap up thread tomorrow morning with all the final stats.
It's all over (bar the water polo final which doesn't affect the top ten of the medal table). I feared the lack of spectators would seriously diminsh these games but I've barely felt it. They've been as enjoyable as ever. A stats thread to finish up...
With Jason Kenny and Lauren Price's golds, GB finish 4th in the medal table, tied on medals with London and just 2 behind Rio. The US just got past China to take top spot.
It really is an incredible achievement. No country has ever managed to maintain it's medal total after a home games for one further Olympics, let alone two.
It's the 4th games in a row GB has finished in the top 4. Between 1972 and 1996 we only made the top ten once.
So we come to the end of the road. This is the last preview as Sunday is a short day so I'll do the whole weekend together. Race for 4th place still very close and can GB match their London medal total?
First up tomorrow at 6am we have Galal Yafai going for gold in the men's fly boxing final. Then at 7am Tom Daley goes for another medal - assuming he's got through the semi-final at 2am.
Then back to the veledrome where Katy Marchant will be going in the next round of the sprint (7.30am); Jason Kenny and Jack Carlin start in the Keirin (7.48am) and we get the men's version of the madison with omnium gold winner Matt Walls and Ethan Hayter (8.55am).
Overnight GB picked up their 52nd medal as the hockey team won a thrilling bronze medal match against India 4-3. And Lauren Price won her boxing SF so will go into the gold medal match on Sunday.
Currently keeping an eye on the 10m diving qualifier with Tom Daley and Noah Williams and the cycling sprint qualifying with Katy Marchant.
Katy Marchant qualifies 8th for the next sprint round. The top 17 riders all beat the previous Olympic Record!
Only three days left but some of my favourite events over the next few days and an extremely tight medal race to settle...
A quiet night - just the bronze medal women's hockey match between GB and India at 2.30am for anyone on the night shift. But a busy morning.
At 6am Lauren Price goes in her boxing semi-final looking to get to the Sunday final that is one of the last events of the game. She is favourite for gold.
Only one medal overnight for GB with Liam Heath getting a bronze (medal 49) in the 200m sprint canoe. Galal Yafai also just won his SF so will have a shot a fly boxing gold in a few days.
In the athletics Dina was back in the relay and the British women broke the national record in the 4x100 to qualify comfortably for the final. Andrew Pozzi was 7th in the 110h and shockingly Grant Holloway didn't win - US still haven't won a men's track gold medal.
Currently diving going on with two Brits but neither look likely to challenge for the medals. I'm about to start watching the new design omnium which is 4 endurance races in 1 day. Annoyingly Aus won two surprise golds overnight so we need one of our own....
