MYTH: You need $1000's to start an online business.

TRUTH: You can do it with less than $10.

Here's how YOU can start a T-shirt business with just $3

(and start making sales immediately)👇

//THREAD//
Step 1: Decide On A Niche

Before you do anything else,

You need to decide on a niche.

(this is probably the most important step in the whole process!)

Figure out your ideal customer and base your designs around that.

Use this to solidify a customer avatar👇
Step 2: Validate Your Designs

Biggest upside of starting a T-shirt company?

It's cheap + requires no cost of goods (usually).

So,

You can validate your niche without risking any money.
Here's how:

>Post designs on niche-related Facebook groups

Don't sell anything yet - you'll get kicked out!

>Try PickFu (poll site)

Post a poll + get real feedback from customers within your demographic!

Other options include:

>Reddit
>Youtube (comments)
>Amazon reviews
Step 3: Decide How You Want To Manufacture Your T-shirts

You have several options...

But the cheapest & easiest way is to use a print on demand (POD) company.

Here's how a print-on-demand company works👇
>Upload your design to the POD company
>Take orders through your eCommerce store
>The order info goes to the POD company (automatically)
>POD company charges you for the wholesale cost of the shirt + ships it to the customer on your behalf
>You keep the difference in profit
This is by far the easiest way to do this,

And the most stress-free.

(literally anyone can do it!)

My POD company recommendations:

>Printful
>CustomCat

Other options:

(NOTE: these companies won't dropship on your behalf, not ideal!)

>TeeSpring
>Amazon Merch
Step 4: Choose A Shopping Cart Platform

Now you need to build your online store.

There are many eCommerce platforms,

But the best POD companies only support the big 3:

>Shopify
>BigCommerce
>WooCommerce

These 3 are all great + highly recommended.
Step 5: Decide On Your Marketing Strategy

In the T-shirt biz,

Competition is high + piracy is real.

(because of the low barrier to entry)

So,
You should avoid:

>SEO (competition is stiff + takes a long time)
>FB Ads (low revenue per sale of t-shirt makes paid ads hard)

But,

The alternative?

Building an audience + selling it to already happy fans!
Step 6: Choose A Medium For Your Content

If you're going to be generating traffic through content (which you should),

There are a few options:
>Start A Blog

This is a great way to build an audience,

But writing can be difficult.

If you want to try blogging?

>Start A Podcast

Podcasting is an excellent way to build a loyal audience.

And,

The audience it attracts will be quality - they will be exposed to your voice for an extended period of time.

The downside:

It's hard to get discovered.

>Start A YouTube Channel

Like podcasting, a YouTube channel is a great way to build a loyal audience.

Visitors can see and hear you speak,

Making it easy to create a connection!

Main downside:

It requires a certain personality to get in front of the camera :)
If you want to see an example of a T-shirt biz YouTube channel in action,

My kids created one for KidInCharge.com (their own T-shirt company).

Here's the channel👇

(feel free to subscribe!)

>Social Media

Social media is great for building an audience,

And you can do it quickly as well.

Popular options:

>Facebook
>Instagram
>Twitter

They all work:

Figure out what works best for you!
Step 7: Retain Your Audience

You need a way to bring a customer back repeatedly until they are ready to buy.

The best way to do this?

Email marketing.

I suggest using Klaviyo.

Build an email list + nurture them...

That's it.

9 Simple Tips for writing killer eCommerce product descriptions that convert like crazy!

(this can 2x your product sales overnight)👇

//THREAD//
Before I start,

Understand this:

You’re not selling an item or a course or service or any other product...

You’re selling a fantasy.

Sell what the product does, not what it is.

This is the foundation for writing product descriptions that sell your products like hotcakes.
Tip #1 – Use The 5 Ws (And 1 H) To Understand Your Audience

Your descriptions must explain:

>who
>what
>where
>when
>why
>how

Writing product descriptions that sell is about laying out the facts and showing customers why they need your products in their lives.

In 2007, my wife & I quit our jobs to start an online store

Today?

We run two 7-figure online businesses

In my opinion, eComm is the best route to get started.

Here are the 4 most common eCommerce businesses you can start today (and make money from within a month)

#1 Dropshipping From Your Website

Dropshipping is a classic way to make money online.

Basically, you 'dropship' products from wholesalers and sell them at a higher margin on your own website.

You sell someone else's products by doing your own marketing.
Pros:
- no inventory
- minimal startup costs
- you don't do fulfillment

Cons:
- saturated
- fulfillment issues
- low profit margins (10-30%)

Dropshipping is perfect for learning the ins and outs of eCommerce without much risk.

// THREAD //
1. DROPSHIPPING

You've heard of dropshipping.

Instead of manufacturing and shipping products yourself, you act as the 'middle man'

You do the marketing, connecting customers with the manufacturer.

There are pros and cons to this business model.
✅ Pros:
- no inventory
- no shipping for you
- low startup costs
- you only need a website + traffic
- mostly low-risk

Here's the hard truth:

You'll never make life-changing money working a 9-5.

I should know - my wife and I worked office jobs we hated.

That all changed when we dove headfirst into online business... and never looked back.

Hopefully this will help someone in that position

How to make $1,000 FAST...

...while also building a long-term business that could potentially change your life.

(Step-By-Step)

// THREAD //
Step 1: Write Down What You Are Good At

This 1st Step is important.

To get someone to pay you $$$,

You MUST be able to provide value.

So...
>How can you provide a benefit that someone is willing to pay for?
>What can you teach someone that will improve their life?
Most people don't believe they are an expert in anything...

But this is the completely wrong mindset!

You just need to know more than whoever you are teaching.

You don't need to be THE expert...

...you just need to be A expert.

Write down a complete list of ALL your skills.

13 Things You Didn't Know About ME

// THREAD //
1. In elementary school, I had a buck tooth that grew at a nearly 90 degree angle.

My friends used to give me tin cans to open with my teeth... until I got braces. :)
2. In 6th grade, I was a member of honors chorus (a singing group composed of about 30 kids).

The conductor told me to just mouth the words and pretend like I was singing... because I was that bad.
