Whether it be “natural conception”, “natural birth”, “natural medicine” “natural beauty” or now, “natural immunity”, a certain segment of the population has coopted the meaning of “natural” & this is really fueling misinformation & exploitation of many vulnerable people …
2/8
Especially in BIPOC communities.
People are literally becoming severely injured or dying in pursuit of “natural” to the detriment of their high risk pregnancies, severe hypertension, out of control diabetes, kidney disease & now, their immune health.

Please get the full details & understand that there are way more NATURAL events occurring than just the slanted stories being told to you.
Specific to COVID, I want you to understand that when people propose that you strive for natural immunity by becoming infected.
4/8
They’re neglecting to share the actual cost (yes, there is a price tag!) of that to you:
↘️ higher rates of COVID reinfection
↘️ higher rates of COVID long hauler syndrome
↘️ higher rates of hospitalization
↘️ higher rates of debilitation
5/8
↘️ higher rates of death for you or those you love (family, friends, coworkers, children) as you pursue this type of natural immunity.
Meanwhile, getting vaccinated is the penultimate natural immunity w/I the burden that an active COVID infection poses to your organs or health
On top of all that, we also have clear cut peer reviewed data that those who have immunity from prior infection & then go on to get vaccinated have superior protection from reinfection & even transmission, in the face of new variants.

So, after seeing the entirety of this post, do you now have a better understanding of NATURAL IMMUNITY?
"If you're on thyroid medication, Dr. Duke stresses the importance of checking in with your thyroid throughout pregnancy. "The fetal brain [and] spinal cord start forming at around 21 days, and the pregnancy hormone can actually activate your thyroid,” she explains.
“So, sometimes medicine needs to be tweaked in the first trimester. I check it with the first pregnancy test, and then once per trimester, and at delivery."
