1. Contrary to what other people are saying, I think the expressions of frustration and impatience are not to be silenced but harnessed. ZImbabweans for too long have been ok with just doing their own thing but there is an awakening that our only problem in Zim is ZanuPF.
2. I urge people to be calm and not to rush to dismiss each other but in fact find each other. There is a part we have to play as citizens, we have to form groups, think tanks and action plans. There are many opportunities on what to do outside a political party.
3. We can have community groups, organize them. Non-violence is the key. But strategic thinking is required. Unless we reach a critical mass of people who really want change we will keep outsourcing to others.
4. Make no mistake the political parties can do more too, but appreciate that they are under siege. It requires other, non party people to organize the community. Let's not wait for charismatic demagogues, let's talk in our families, amongst our friends what we can do locally.
5. There is a lot, voter education, research, information sharing, propaganda busting etc. All those things need to be done and we can all contribute to something bigger. The political parties will catch up. No one needs to tell you how messed up the country is. You see it, act.
6. Yes, we might feel we need to be led, but we need to build cohesion amongst ourselves first as Zimbabweans, outside the context of parties, converge on key principles and act. The best time to start is today!
