The Algerian has been in great form through pre season and unlike most other midfield assets is fully rested with no international involvement. But the inevitable rotation once other players are back to full fitness makes him a very short term hold in my opinion.
🟥 K. HAVERTZ
He should start as Chelsea's CF vs CRY this week but with Lukaku imminent I can't help feel Havertz's pre season appeal drops, especially with a tricky run of fixtures following the GW1 tie. I still think he's in for a good season tho so some might be happy to hold
🟥 M. GREENWOOD
Similar to Mahrez and Havertz I expect Greenwood to start the first couple of GW's before he's inevitablely rotated with Cavani, Sancho, Martial and co. That said, I think he's a great GW1 punt for United's game against Leeds.
🟧 O. WATKINS & D. INGS
I really like both the Villa forwards for the initial three games of the season in particular. Truth be told both assets could represent good long term holds as they are both reasonably fixture proof. But Villa's fixtures do become trickier from GW4.
🟧 K. TSIMIKAS
Robertson could be back by as soon as GW4/GW5. But until then the LB gig seems Tsimikas' to lose after an impressive pre season. At just £4.0m there's not a lot to lose by taking an early punt on him given Liverpool's fantastic early run of games.
🟧 I. SARR
Sarr is a player that needs to be in our thinking, if not now maybe from GW4. Obviously there's a lot of question marks around how Watford will fare this season but Sarr has already proven himself at this level. Expecting him to get a few returns early doors.
🟧 D. JOTA
I'm expecting Jota to have a run of starts through the initial GW's whilst Firmino gets back to match fitness after competing in the Copa America with Brazil. But longer term he seems to be the player most regularly rotated which makes him a short term option for now.
