NEW: @JoeBiden and Merrick Garland have tried to leave Donald Trump's attempts to overturn the election to the Congressional committees and @TheJusticeDept's internal watchdog. New evidence may make that impossible. independent.co.uk/voices/biden-m…
“He [@JoeBiden] would very much prefer not to be the first American president to see his predecessor in the dock, but there’s a growing realization that the more that becomes known, the more likely that possibility becomes," said one insider. independent.co.uk/voices/biden-m…
.@January6thCmte member @RepRaskin said evidence of Trump & former AAG Jeffrey Clark's push for the DOJ to question swing state results is “highly suggestive of criminal activity” and "indicative of a corrupt design to interfere with a federal election". independent.co.uk/voices/biden-m…
Not looking good for #TeamGB in the men's four. They've won it at every Olympics since @SteveRedgrave5, @matthewcpinsent, et al took gold in Sydney (Redgrave's 5th!) but they've got some ground to make up on AUS with 1000 to go.
Holy shit, GBR lost control and steered into ITA's lane.
AUS takes gold, ROM silver, ITA bronze. GBR 4th.
Australia's win in the M4- is their first since 1992.
HAPPENING NOW: The Kraken sanctions hearing is back. Lin Wood is now trying to argue that the court has no jurisdiction over him. because the complaint does not have his email address or signature, and he did not apply for local admission to practice.
Wood: "Regardless of whether there was some misunderstanding about why my name got put on there. Each lawyer will affirm to you that I did not have any input into any one of these pleadings or affidavits and I was not asked to have any input into them."
Judge Parker says she'll let Wood submit a brief on why she doesn't have jurisdiction over him.
HAPPENING NOW: Sidney Powell, Lin Wood, and other "Kraken" lawyers are now in a Michigan virtual courtroom for a hearing on whether they should be sanctioned.
District Judge Parker has called the hearing to provide Kraken lawyers an opportunity to answer questions she deems relevant on whether she should sanction them. She is making clear that she has read all the briefs, does not want lawyers re-arguing what they've written.
"I have questions I want to give you the opportunity to answer," Judge Parker says.
