While the Mumbai airport is stuck with one runway (the 2nd one is intersecting - hence not a fully independent one), and Navi Mumbai airport (with 2 parallel runways) still at least 2-3 years away...

Delhi airport gets its 4th (independent) runway!

ecoti.in/frtSGb75
Less than a decade back, Mumbai was the busiest airport in the country. Then Delhi overtook it...and is extending the lead each year, with plenty of runway capacity.

Mumbai couldn't grow beyond a point due to runway constraints. Recently even BLR went passed Mumbai, I believe.
Ideally, #Mumbai needed a 2nd (parallel runway) at the current airport two decades back (but not possible I guess due to encroachments...)

It definitely needed the Navi Mumbai Airport functional at least 10 years ago!

India's journey with the #Olympics started at a sports meet of the #DeccanGymkhana Club in #Pune in 1919.

Sir Dorabji Tata was so impressed with the performance of the athletes that he decided to personally finance a team for the Antwerp games (1920).

The Deccan Gymkhana Sports Club, #Pune was set up as far back as 1906, with a vision to provide good sports facilities to the local population (clubs back then were exclusively for the British). One of the key persons involved in this was Lokmanya Tilak.

#Pune - Bengaluru Highway (Bypass from Dehu Road, where the Mumbai-Pune Expressway ends ...all the way to Katraj) is in a very bad shape.

Usual issues:

Potholes
Missing lane marking
Encroachment by fruit vendors
Illegal parking.

Big safety risk!

@NHAI_Official @nitin_gadkari
Similar issues with the Sion - Panvel Highway as well.
Fast tag implementation needs to improve further.

Big delays at Vashi bridge. Tag readers are slow. Manual handheld readers used at some places...all adding to delays.
