🔴Breaking: A major incident has been declared in Plymouth, with a number of air ambulances and police vehicles called amid reports of a suspected shooting

Eyewitnesses have claimed that they heard "loud bangs" and gun shots".

One person is believed to be dead.

According to local reports, armed police are currently at a block of flats in Stonehouse in the south west area of Plymouth
Four ambulances have also landed in the North Prospect area of Plymouth this evening.

The South Western Ambulance Service said it was called at just after 6pm on Thursday to an "ongoing incident" in Keyham
🔴The incident is "not terror related and the suspect involved is not on the run," local MP Johnny Mercer has said
