New data from our Opinions & Lifestyle survey show over a quarter of adults (27%) reported feeling it would take more than a year for life to return to normal (4 to 8 August).

This was down from 32% three weeks ago (14 to 18 July).

A high proportion of adults felt that measures to slow the spread of #COVID19 were either very important or important.

Such measures included:

▪️ socially distancing (86%)

However, this was slightly lower than the 92% who reported this last week.

The total value of UK manufacturers’ product sales was £358.7bn in 2020.

This was a fall of 10.8% compared with £402.2bn in 2019.
