Maurella Cunningham: I did not like the message of the poem that all of this terrible stuff has been done to us but it has been strategically built into our nation. There are some things that I just really did not care for,
and to me it felt like propaganda."
"The second draft is such an amazing start for the third draft"
"How is MDE going to respond to feedback from the public that is steeped in racism? I think there is some contradictions by MDE if they don't address directly this type of feedback. Is MDE prepared to create robust ethnic studies strand that speak to or speak against that is
causing damage to the State, to our youth, and to our leadership?"
We need to take time to actually look at what is the feedback, and is there a clarion call for us to examine issues regarding racism, etc.?
Hour for individual review of feedback. Discussion will continue at 10:30 am.
Small-Group Meeting Sessions followed by lunch. Come together for large group discussion at 12:30 pm.
