When the plight of Bengali Hindus doesn't get a fraction of the traction in Bharat than that of Afghan Muslims, well, you know where you stand as a community. Nowhere.
Here's a fact for those asking us to not look at d situation in Afghanistan thru a communal lens- Existing Afghan refugees in Bharat did not speak up (& still haven't spoken up) for d plight of Hindu & Sikh Afghans until their brethren from the Ummah were targeted by the Taliban.
Clearly, notwithstanding d vague platitudes about universal brotherhood, wen d chips r down ur community is ur first & foremost safety net. It's time Dharmic communities understood & drilled this deep in their heads.Learn frm d experience of Pak,Afghan/Bangladeshi Hindus & Sikhs.
Bharat is not a Dharamshala. The priority must be to save Indic communities. It has to & must look out for itself first. It can't endanger its already precarious demographic balance to please the gallery & win empty humanitarian accolades. It can provide material aid & that's all.
Here's is an interesting exchange from Shri Chandraprakash Dwivedi's Chanakya on accommodating refugees citing "athithi devo bhava" because the problem is they won't be merely athithis for long -
Americans & Pakistanis have created this mess in Afghanistan. It is for them to clean it up,not Bharat.Demographic inversion is already a reality in several parts of Bharat & the Indian State shudnt worsen this situation. Only Indic communities are an exception to this position.

1. So looks like this deleted tweet of mine is being used to further certain agendas. So I might as well respond lest it is assumed that I was being insensitive to attack on a Hindu (regardless of his organisational affiliation) for being a Hindu.
2.Anyone wid an iota of common sense shud be able to understand that my tweet was directed at d fact that d alleged commonality of DNA doesn't make an iota of difference to those who attack Hindus for being Hindus. My disagreement with d DNA argument stands no matter who says it.
3. To those who wish to create the impression that I was being insensitive to the attack on a Hindu, kindly refresh ur selective memory to the month of May when Hindus were being attacked in Bengal. We were among the first to knock the doors of the Court to seek justice.
