The world of politics has become such a disgusting, shameful and ugly place that there is hardly a soul who is not affected by the immoral and stupid things that many of those involved in politics do. Given the influence of politics on all of our lives, one would think that
2/the people would be benefitting from constantly improving politics rather than watching politics lead our society down the path of deterioration.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was recently asked about the CA Recall effort. She responded by saying not to worry because she has a
3/ "plan." We are now seeing that plan unfold, and it is not pretty. Basically, a few hundred paid people and a few thousand volunteers are given the task of urging us to vote "No on the Recall." Nothing wrong with that, although it is unfair that Newsom will have about "50M,
4/ it is estimated, while his opponents are capped at $10M. What is so shameful and disgusting is the despicable attempt to assassinate the character of Larry Elder, the leading candidate to replace Newsom. First, they identified him as a "Black Conservative," which I knew was
5/a harbinger of future events. I know from experience that those on the Left reserve a special place in their cup of hate for those uppity Black people who hold contrary views about race. Conservatives recognize that we have not reached the mountaintop yet, but we believe that
6/ the path forward must go through our collective human heart and we must hold everyone to the same standards. We believe it is a disservice to treat us as perennial underachievers. In 1996, very few Black people embraced that view. Now, I believe it is about 50/50, but the
7/ media and Democrat politicians are slow to catch on to what is happening within the ranks of Black people. So, they just hurl a stream of invectives at Blacks who are "conservative." The list is long of Black people who suffer their indignities. I just don't care anymore, but
8/I am not running for anything.

Regarding the claim of Larry's ex-fiancee, if anyone attaches creditability to that, then you are not thinking clearly. The Larry Elder I have known for 26 years would never do what he is being accused of.
Our state is in trouble. The effects
9/of these shutdowns will be with us for generations. Our communities are riddled with criminal activity many believe to be traceable to certain Newsom policies. Yet, the guv has not used the Recall to make his case. Instead, he lashes out at Republicans, who have NO power in CA
10/ The Pelosi/Newsom strategy of distracting our attention from the real consequences of Newsom's gruesome policies to the persona of that "Black Conservative" in the race can work if we, the voters, allow ourselves to be sucker-punched by the media and even some of my fellow
11/ Republicans into going along with that strategy. I am very proud that our CA Constitution is enshrined with the ideal of EQUAL rights for all of us. That is our legacy. I am "conservative." I am a proud Republican, a recipient of the Ronald Reagan Award for Leadership, all in
12/ that order. I am proud of and grateful to my fellow Californians who joined me TWICE in voting for Proposition 209 to reject race preferences. Larry Elder is a good man who believes as I do. We are "conservatives" and he is giving up a very good gig to do his part to save our
12/our state. Don't let the guv and the Speaker take our eyes off the ball. If we fall for their "Plan," we will awaken on Sept 15 to find more of the same from Newsom--high taxes, high crime, high homelessness and a high from power governor chomping at the bit to lock down our
13/state, for the third time. Or, we can vote Yes for the Recall and take our state in a different direction. As a proud Republican, I want results, and I don't care whether they are delivered by a D or a R. I don't like things as they are. Let's focus on changing them.

The citizens of California are roughly one month away from one of the most critical decision points in our history. Do we vote Yes or No on the question of whether to recall/replace Gavin Newsom as governor of CA. If a majority of us vote Yes, who do we install to replace him?
2/ CA is my home state, although I left in 2017 because of my frustration with our politics. I returned on May 13, 2020, because I love CA and I am not a quitter. This state is worth fighting for. The issue that compelled me to return was Prop 209. We passed it in 1996 and the
3/ Legislature voted to put it on the ballot for reconsideration in 2020. The people approved it by an even bigger margin. CA is in major decline. Big trouble! About 41M people (30M legal citizens and 11M "undocumented") being governed by less than 300-500 elites. When a former

There has been no claim of sexual misconduct leveled at Governor Newsom, but there are some significant similarities between California and New York. The most relevant of these is the fact that we are one-party states being held captive to progressive policies. In both states,
2/ taxes are choking the hell out of their citizens, people are leaving and the homeless issues are out of control. If your city is not safe and government is always picking your pocket, it is pretty hard to pursue happiness. CA state government is a disaster, in a political
3/ sense. Our system is that of a
representative democracy, but the? basic problem, it seems to me, is that the people are no longer being faithfully represented in places like California. We are not markedly different from people in Idaho, many of whom were recent

There are five basic issues which, in my opinion, directly affect the quality of life in our society: crime, taxes, education, citizenship rights and housing, and not necessarily in that order. On all five of these, I give Governor Newsom a less than passing or even average
2/ grade. Crime is out of control and there are so many who have very little respect for the rule of law. Taxes are so high in CA that they are driving many in the middle class away from here. Once upon a time, our education system was the envy of the nation. Now, we’re
3/ scrambling to avoid hitting the bottom. Our national and state constitutions guarantee equal rights for all, but there is a constant battle to protect those rights, most recently Prop 16 in CA. And, homelessness is a catastrophe in every major CA city. When asked to explain

I have a very special friend who owns a nails salon. She loves this country, works 7 days/week, about 15/hrs daily, 6 days every week. Goes to church on Sunday, a single mom putting her daughter through college. Her son is in the military serving our country. Prior to Covid,
2/ her nails salon was the source of income for her and 6 other people. The very definition of the American dream and what it means to be an American. About 16 months ago, the Governor issued an order to close all businesses like hers. She and her workers wore masks, and she
3/ installed thick plastic dividers (cages basically) that separated customers and workers. The Governor’s action was, in my opinion, one of the biggest deprivations of individual liberty in American history. My single-parent friend now has 1 part-time worker & herself and she

Yesterday, I had a brief chat with the people's friend for governor, Larry Elder. He is holding up very well, despite the rigors of a grinding campaign. We couldn't ask for a better candidate to represent those of us who want to save and restore
2/ the California that we once knew. This is a very important election, and we all know it. Newsom is in big trouble, and he knows it. He is using "the Republicans" as the bogey man, and calling this the "Republican Recall." He is bringing in Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris and
3/ other parts of "the Machine" that has left us stranded on the highway. It seems to me that our nation and, in particular, our state are experiencing a decline. The government is taking too much from us, it is not sufficiently protecting us from bad people in our society, it

UNFAIR...WRONG...CORRUPT...AN OUTRAGE!!!

My state of California is a great state, with some phenomenal people. We come in all colors and we embrace different religious and political backgrounds. We, the people, have learned to live by the creed that our color, sex,
2/ "race," ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation or gender identity should not deny us the right to participate in or contribute to our society. We give true meaning to the overused term, "diversity." On Nov. 3, 2020, we reaffirmed our dedication to the principle of
3/ equal citizenship by rejecting Prop 16 by the landslide margin of 57-43.

A closer look at CA will confirm, however, why the characterisric of "diversity" can be such a misleading attribute. The reason is that it masks the many things that have CA on a path to destruction:
