But I see pictures from Taliban sources of Taliban fighters burning Massoud's picture on their way to Panjshir. They now have massed 6000+ fighters around Panjshir with heavy weapons.

It has begun. All taliban sources confirm the battle for Panjshir has started just now. According to the sources ultimatum has expired. Clashes are reported around Panjshir border region. Thousands of civilians are fleeing.

Ahmad Massoud might not be in Panjshir, my educated guess is that he is in UAE. He might have left already more than 4 days ago.

Taliban forces already captured two checkpoints inside Panjshir. They are moving in from all sides.

Taliban has 6000 fighters massed around Panjshir, they have send in hundreds of elite fighters into the holdout of anti taliban fighters in the valley of death.

Those hundreds are the Badri 313 special forces.

According to Taliban sources @AhmadMassoud01 insisted in getting role for himself in new government. Older Taliban leaders were considering that option, but young taliban leaders objected. "He is not his father, but a spoiled child risking many lives in panjshir".

According to taliban sources anti taliban forces in Panjshir have max 3000 trained fighters. Rest are approx 3000 villagers with no fighting experience. Those villagers are fleeing with their families.

It is almost midnight in panjshir. Taliban's red team Badri 313 is in full gear with night vision goggles. They will sweep though the valley during the night. In morning you will see wave after wave of Taliban fighters joining them clearing out remaining pockets of NA soldiers.

One more update before I go offline. According to Taliban sources Badri 313 fighters have captured two mountain hills in Panjshir.

According to Taliban panjshir militia retreated towards mountains after Taliban broke trough their defense lines. Taliban are now chasing the retreating militiamen. Statements 300 taliban were killed is according Taliban false. They lost in total 30 fighters past days.
