NEW - The BC government is announcing $6.4 million to recruit and retain health care workers in Northern BC. The province launching a new program funded directly by the province and not Norther Health. #bcpoli
NEW - British Columbia will turn 24 ambulance stations from on call to 24 hour service. This will benefit Fernie, Burns Lake, Vanderhoof, Lake Country and many other communities. #bcpoli
This will mean higher and more consistent pay for Emergency Health Service workers. #bcpoli

As of today 85.8% (3,978,624) of eligible people 12 and older in B.C. have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 78.4% (3,632,547) received their second dose. #bcpoli
Over a three-day period, B.C. is reporting 1,984 new cases of COVID-19, for a total of 175,142 cases in the province:
* Sept. 10-11: 823 new cases

NEW - All health care workers in the province must be immunized to work in a health care facility in British Columbia. Includes home and community care and comes into place on October 26. #bcpoli
Every individual request for religious or medial exemption will be reviewed by the PHO. #bcpoli

NEW - British Columbia will be requiring proof of vaccination for people attending certain social and recreational settings and events. As of September 13, one dose of vaccine will be required for entry to these settings. #bcpoli
By October 24, entry to these settings will require people to be fully vaccinated at least seven days after receiving both doses. #bcpoli
Here is a full list of where vaccine will be required:

-Indoor concerts
-Indoor theatre/dance/symphony events
