Gen. McKenzie confirms ours and others' reporting that ISIS was behind the attack on Abbey gate and the nearby Baron hotel. ISIS gunmen opened fire after the two explosions.
McKenzie says he expects these attacks to continue. DOD is doing everything in the power to prevent, including reaching out to the Taliban.
Adds that they are working to find out who exactly is responsible for the attack and "we will go after them."
Right now there are "other extremely active threat streams" to the airfield, he says
No UK casualties in the attacks, including one outside of Baron hotel, which the British had been using as a hub to evacuate their personnel
McKenzie says they have had "indications" of other attacks in Kabul today but has not been able to run that information down.
