I visited #AhmaudArbery murder site today to pay my respects. I drove his route. Will post video shortly. I noticed some things not many have mentioned or concentrated on. After video uploads I'll point them out. #IrunwithMaud#BlackLivesMatter
I will say that as I turned down the street that he was killed on, I immediately recognized the scene from videos we've seen, & my heart immediately dropped & tears started flowing, thinking about what he must've been feeling as these men hunted him & he had no idea why.
Video of the path that #AhmaudArbery took as he was hunted down. As far as I know, there is no public video that shows this full route. Filmed at running speed to get accurate timing. #IrunwithMaud#BlackLivesMatter
I explain in the video description the times in the video. If you didn't know, the chase was a full 4 minutes. Watching the video at running speed really drives home how long #AhmaudArbery was running for his life.
Also, even though I had been in the neighborhood previously, I always wondered, why didn't he just cut through the yard to the right? He couldn't. Where Travis stopped, the yard to the right has a large hedge & there are trees close to the road. There wasn't room to get away.
I hope this helps others understand the situation better, that can't see the area themselves. I also hope this keeps this case in your mind & Ahmaud in your memory.
It's hard to tell from the video, but there is 1 house with a #IrunwithMaud sign, but numerous others with Trump signs & flags still hanging. I have never had a doubt that most of the neighborhood was OK with this until it got national attention.
