Thanksgiving.

She had gotten into serious debt. No one knew how bad it was except her.

She never wanted things to go the way they went yet they did and it felt like everything was against her.

The people she owed weren't taking it easy as they called her names and labeled her.

She would wake up at night with anxiety wrapped around her like a blanket and the bile words from those she owed like the cathedral bells in St. Petersburg.

"Debtor"
"Onigbese"
"God punish you"

It was silent to all but a clashing cymbal to her being.

This wasn't a case of I borrowed from Peter to pay Paul - that was out of it.

What she needed was divine intervention. She needed a miracle and she knew where she could get it but before she could take that step, a friend gave her an advice.

Create a whatsapp group...

...add the names of everyone you're owing, make an apology and let them know you will pay back and then await the violence.

She did just that with tears in her eyes and then she switched off her mobile data and went to church.

The Church had a vigil and she connected.

She spoke to God the way Hannah spoke until she was considered a drunk.

She cried and reminded God that "they who look to you shall not be put to shame".

Did God hear? Can someone who is in debt call to God and he would answer even when the decisions were taken without Him?

The service ended and she was on her way home.

It was time to face reality. It was time to turn on her mobile data and receive the fickle wrath of man. The wrath that can never work the righteousness of God.

And yes, there was violence immediately she switched on data.

People said so much that even while she was in the bus on her way home, she was sobbing yet she read on.

Thank you Jesus.

In all this, something happened; the person, a man whom she owed the largest amount did something unimaginable.

He spoke up for her.

He challenged all of them and chastised them greatly.

He called them hypocrites because they claimed to be her friend but the words they used reflected hatred and even pleasure at her predicament.

He didn't stop there. No! He told them to send their details...

... and how much they were owed and proceeded to credit them.

Some debts were written off and some paid off but in all, God did the unimaginable.

Why?

Thanksgiving. You see, Thanksgiving is an Act of Faith.

Psalm 100:4? Remember?

I'm happy you do.

For the last 5 days, all we have been doing in the ministry has been to chant "Thank you Jesus" and the testimonies have been mind blowing.

No matter what we have experienced this week, we proposed in our heart to just say "Thank you Jesus"

Why? It is the will of God.

Tonight, we continue... Asking nothing but giving everything that Elohim is pleased.

We are doing this in preparation of The Parlour Chronicles - Evolution taking place at JORAM College located at 1/3 Isaac Ogunlolu Street, Abule Egba.

This is me extending an invite to you because the Lord has given us REST.
