It's been over a decade since I kicked off my career.
I've worked with, invested in, and mentored some of the most elite people on the planet.
And you know what I've noticed? 👀
From Tom Brady to Warren Buffet, they all have five things in common.
If you're curious 🧵
1/ Always Prepared 🧠
For today, tomorrow, and the next ten years.
This means never showing up without being ready to speak the same language and add value.
You can follow the plan or adapt to any twists that might happen.
When you hit a brick wall, you can go around it.
2/ Follow Through ✅
My most important advice to people just starting out.
If you say you're going to do something, do it.
And do it when you said you would.
Follow through is actually trust, trust makes you reliable, reliability makes you useful.
3/ Transparent 🎯
Life gets easier for everyone if you're upfront and direct.
Even if people don't like what you say, they'll respect you for it.
It saves me time, it saves you time, it helps things move faster.
You can trust people who are no bullsh*t.
4/ Execution 🛠️
It's simple, if you can't execute you won't be successful.
This means making what you want to happen, happen.
Knowing how to walk through the door and make 1+1=2.
It's not always being right, it's understanding how to get to the end no matter what comes up.
5/ Strong Communication 🤝
Communication ties everything together.
It's how you turn your IQ into EQ.
How to get people to come on board with your ideas.
Strong communicators are aware of themselves, aware of others, and know how find mutually beneficial opportunities.
So as you're reaching for what you want to achieve in life, keep in mind:
1. Do your homework 2. Do what you say you will 3. Tell it like it is 4. Take one step at a time, till you're at the end 5. Always be mindful of how you're dealing with others
