At a Clubhouse earlier today on "Hindu Unity" I shared the following thoughts:
1 "Hindu Unity" is NOT a goal in itself. What do we do after uniting all the Hindus? The focus must be on goals & outcomes. Bringing people together is an ever, ongoing process
1/
2 Are Hindus united?
Answer: Yes & No. If the cause is good, doesn't hurt anyone, is legitimate & is legal, Hindus rally behind the cause. Raising ₹ 5500 crores in ~2 months by collecting small donations from households across the country is the best example I can think of.
2/
Raising lakhs in a few hours for Ramalingam, the murdered activist in Tamil Nadu, is another
If the cause is hurtful, traumatic, involves violence, confrontation, deceit or breaks the law, Hindus will NOT congregate in large numbers. Even if it is essential. Why I will
3/
explain later in the thread
3. What is the way forward?
Set goals.
Immediate goals: Such as equipping oneself for self-defence. Creating a group of like-minded Hindus in your locality. Choose your goal. We don't have a Pope who's going to give us specific instructions.
4/
A small tip here is the verse found in Manusmriti & Mahabharata
धर्मो रक्षति रक्षितः
or
Dharmo Rakshati Rakshita
Dharma protects those who uphold Dharma
Practise it in your daily life starting TODAY! Convince ten others! Ghar Wapsi must be normalised & possible in all temples
5/
Medium-term goals (3 to 5 years): Regain control of temples, rectify history, reform education, acheive equality for Hindus etc
Sanatana Dharma gives unprecedented freedom. Use it to decide what goals to acheive in 3-5 years to preserve, propagate, strengthen Sanatana Dharma
6/
Long-term goals(100 years): Bring all people & countries into Sanatani fold. When Christians can aim to make 🇮🇳 a Christian State & Muslims can have Ghazwa-e-Hind as a goal, why can't Sanatanis aim to take the 3rd largest religion to every household in every nation? In 100 years?
We need to forego our defensive mindset & start visualising it. A world which is entirely Sanatani will have less violence, less conflict, more acceptance, more tolerance, more harmony. Only if we can imagine it, can we find ways, means, ideas, leaders, funds to make it happen
8/
If we're not willing to countenance such a scenario, it will certainly never be a reality.
4. Why do Hindus not unite at certain times?
There are several possibilities but I'll give some sweeping statements & you can decide which is applicable for which situation & add more
9/
A. Since we are not accustomed to propagating our way of life, Hindus have not mastered scriptures, how to debate or confront others wrt religion. Confrontation makes most Hindus distinctly uncomfortable & I understand but don't accept it. We need to overcome this hesitation
10/
B. Collective trauma of multiple genocides, suppression, denials, humiliations leads to blanking out the memory, sort of PTSD at the community level.
Reconciliation with the past is traumatic enough in a warm, supportive environment. Add toxic self-loathing Hinduphobes and
11/
it is easier to retract back into our shells to avoid confrontation
C. Over the years, this indifference had made it acceptable to selfish or cowardly
To end it
Moving forward is more important than agreeing on how to move forward. Politicians, of all hues, aren't going
12/
to lead this. All the civilisational initiatives (such as Article 370) undertaken by Modi 1.0 & 2.0 were discussed, debated & decided, as a goal, when they were NOT in power
The way forward has to come from common folks, ordinary people like you and me.
Har Har Mahadev 🙏🏻

We've witnessed startling developments in #Afghanistan
Where a mighty USA succumbed to a loosely knit group of religious zealots
What was supposed to be an end to the never-ending war will now spur a different kind of never-ending war

We hear so much of the American military-industrial complex,
Of how a never-ending conflict means never-ending profits & basically caters to Corporate profits
This thread seeks to walk you through how such a complex thrives
By explaining one small, harmless example

The humble Penny
Worth one hundredth of a dollar & minted as a 2.5 gram coin with 97.5% zinc, US Mint churns out roughly 8 billion pennies every year, ⅔ of their capacity
Even with just 2.5% copper, they cost more to produce than they're worth
How was this temple built?
For every layer of stone they placed, they filled the surrounding with sand from the bed of nearby Cauvery, till the reached the top. The inner, hollow triangle fromed by the interlocking stones alone was strong enough to bear that weight
For the Vimana, they built a 4km ramp. Once it was placed, the sand was excavated to reveal the majestic temple, which was believed to be the King's stairway to heaven ❤
FYI, the rock used is not native to the area & must have been hauled from over 100 kms away

A side story
While on a hunting expedition, Raja Raja Chola stopped & asked an old lady for water which she happily gave him. The grateful king granted her a boon & she asked for a replica of this temple in her village. So a miniature was built in Darasuram, near Kumbhakonam!

My challenge to you is:
Can you read up to the last tweet?
The latest, longest ever list of things names after the infamous Nehru-Gandhi-Vadra parivaar
Its a sign of the dominance of a dynasty
India's subservience to one family
Sir M Vishveshvariah went to meet Gandhiji. He sat down on a chair offered to him. Gandhiji chuckled.
Sir MV asked him why.
Gandhiji replied "You are wearing a suit, carrying a gold handled cane and have a gold watch in your pocket. So you have to sit on a chair.
1
I'm like the poor in this country who have only one cloth to wear and don't have a chair to sit on."
Sir MV replied "Mahatma, I'm the son of a poor temple priest who could hardly make two ends meet. I saw an Englishman ride in a carriage drawn by horses with a

gold handled stick, with all the people looking at him in awe. I decided that I should do better than him. So, I toiled hard, studied and earned this position.
If all our countrymen think like you, in the future, we will sit on the floor and others will rule us!"

It was Christmas eve of 2013 & God was fed up with the way mankind was evolving.
He took the tough decision of ending the human race & decided to inform the leaders. In a puff, @BarackObama , Vladmir Putin @KremlinRussia_E & India's very own #manmohansinghji

appeared before him
He told them
"Hi! I'm God & I wanted you top leaders to carry my message to humanity. I'm fed up with your lies & deceit, so I'm ending the world."
& puff . . . . they were gone.
Obama reappeared at the White House where @MichelleObama & the girls were
