When I was working for Daily Ummat Karachi, my editor assigned me to cover condolence reference of the late General (r) Hamid Gul organised his friends and family members in Karachi's Steel Town. Believe me, only 12 people were there. As the event ended, I came to office..
...and filed a story that "Only 12 people attended the condolence reference of a famous retired General who recently passed away". The news editor came straight to the reporter desk and uttered the questions. "Why you filed this shit. Are you interested in work here....
He ordered "file the story again". However, I carefully read the story and refiled it to the news desk. A few moments later what had happened was unexpected and unacceptable.(This story next time). But the day next I was reading the story, "thousands of people attended the event"
Another thing worth mentioning here is that among the 12 who attended the condolence event, one was I and another was Ummat's news editor.

On Monday in the SSC annual exams being held under the Matric Board Karachi, a controversial question 4rm the question paper of Islamic Studies contained (MCQs) asked the students to make a choice that the worst animal before Allah is: donkey, pig, infidels, or monkey.
But the students were perplexed in making a perfect choice. Because the examiner who had developed the question papers was of the view that the absolute answer of the question was infidels, a person who has no religion or whose religion is not that of the majority.
He mentioned Surat Al-Anfal [verse 55], of which translation in the textbook of Islamic Studies by Sindh Text Book Board is “Indeed, the worst of living creatures in the sight of Allah are those who have disbelieved, and they will not [ever] believe”.
