A special edition of the #BoebertReportCard! Time to take a look at @RepBoebert’s legislative effectiveness. These are the bills she’s introduced since taking office in January. Now in fairness, the House of Representatives currently has a Democratic majority, so [thread]
she’d have to do something like reach across the aisle to get anything passed, and we all know she’d rather shout across the aisle, but even more telling is how few of her fellow Republicans she can round up as cosponsors. [Narrator’s voice: not many].
To put this into perspective, the House currently has 432 members with 3 vacancies; 220 Democrats and 212 Republicans. In order to get a simple majority, a bill or resolution needs 217 votes (until at least two of the vacancies are filled, then it moves up to 218).
So, if Lauren could get the support or cosponsorship of all her Republican “friends,” she’d only have to get five Democrats to sign on. If she weren’t so confrontational, that’d be a difficult but doable task.

Here are her 19 bills and their statuses, by date of introduction
H.R.376, the Paris Agreement Constitutional Treaty Act, introduced 1/21/21, 15 cosponsors. Yeah, this one’s going nowhere. It was designed to require re-entry to the Paris Climate Agreement to be approved by the Senate. We’re back in the agreement.
H.R.375, the No Mask Mandates Act, introduced on 1/21/21 with 0 cosponsors. Not even her fave, Paul Gosar signed onto this one. It would prohibit mandates that require individuals to wear a mask or other face covering on federal property or while traveling in interstate commerce.
It’s currently just sitting there in the House - Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health.

H.R.374, the WHO Accountability Act, introed 1/21/21 with 9 cosponsors. This was to prohibit all funding to the WHO. Gaetz and Cawthorn signed on. House Committee on Foreign Affairs.
H.R.859, the Protecting American Energy Jobs Act, introduced 2/5/21, with 35 cosponsors. This was gonna be the bill that stopped the President from issuing moratoria on oil and gas stuff. Its overbroad scope got it assigned to these committees in the House - Natural
Resources; Agriculture; Oversight and Reform; Transportation and Infrastructure; Energy and Commerce; Foreign Affairs; Financial Services; Intelligence (Permanent Select); Armed Services. It’s sitting in the bin of the Subcommittee on Conservation and Forestry, and moving nowhere
H.Con.Res.22, Expressing the sense of Congress that retired Lt Gen Russel Honoré, United States Army, should immediately be relieved of his interim investigative role into the events of Jan 6, 2021, introduced 3/3/21, with 26 cosponsors. She’d rather just forget January 6. Moot.
H.R.1613, the Stop the Biden Caravan Now Act, introduced on 3/8/21 with a whopping 2 cosponsors, Posey from FL and Budd from NC. A ridiculous attempt to move the fences that surrounded the US Capitol to the southern border. The fences are mostly down, so counting this one as moot
H.Res.189, Resolution Seeking the return of the USS Pueblo to the United States Navy, introed 3/8/21 with only Doug Lamborn, also of CO, as consponsor. This one is just odd. If passed, it would just tell the President that the House thinks that the return of the ship,
now in North Korean custody, should be a priority. Why wouldn’t you want the Senate to tell him the same thing? And it sits in the House Committee on Foreign Affairs. But hey, she got her day of press; she assumes that Pueblo voters won’t notice she hasn’t done anything since.
H.R.1679, the Western Water Security Act, introed 3/9/21, 16 cosponsors. A virtual copy of one that her predecessor, Scott Tipton, introduced 3 times and got through the House, only to watch it die in the GOP-controlled Senate. Boebert can’t even get it out of
committee. Surprisingly, she did manage to get Liz Cheney to cosponsor it, but that was before Boebert decided that Cheney is the devil. It currently languishes in the Subcommittee on Conservation and Forestry, part of the Committee on Natural Resources, one of her committees.
H.R.2004, the No Amnesty Act, introduced on 3/18/21 with 10 cosponsors. This one is worth reading the description: “This bill prohibits federal agencies from expending funds or resources to implement, administer, or enforce certain executive actions related to immigration,
including actions that (1) prioritize the removal of certain aliens, such as those suspected of engaging in terrorism; (2) revoke an earlier executive order that required heightened vetting of aliens seeking admission as refugees; and (3) direct the Assistant to the President for
National Security Affairs to develop a strategy to address the root causes of migration from El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras.” Remember how Boebert made fun of the VP for seeking out root causes? I’d rate this as having 0 possibility of passage.
It's currently assigned to multiple committees: House - Judiciary; Foreign Affairs; Armed Services; Intelligence (Permanent Select); Energy and Commerce; Ways and Means; Homeland Security.

H.R.2003, the Secure the Southern Border Act, introed 3/18/21 with 12 cosponsors.
An effort to codify several tRump-era Executive Orders and to require reports. Currently rotting in t Judiciary; Homeland Security; Armed Services; Oversight and Reform; Foreign Affairs, and the Subcommittee on Immigration and Citizenship.
H.R.2081, the LOCAL Act, introduced on 3/19/21 with 10 cosponsors. Effort to keep the Bureau of Land Management HQ in Grand Junction. 10 cosponsors lets you know how hard she’s been working on this, and 2 are fellow Colorado Republicans, Buck and Lamborn.
This one would be one you’d think she’d reach across the aisle on, but no. It’s currently mouldering in the Committee on Natural Resources, upon which Ms. Boebert sits.
H.Res.273, Providing that material obtained or generated by the office of a Member in response to a casework ... Introed on 3/26/21 with 0 cosponsors, when she was just SURE that Scott Tipton was hiding the records of case work from her. Turns out, he and his staff cleared the
open ones or reassigned it to other Colorado legislators. And yet, here is the postcard of her vituperativeness. It currently gathers dust in the House Rules Committee.
H.Res.272, Calling for the designation of Antifa as a domestic terrorist organization. Introduced 3/26/21 with 11 cosponsors. The last clause of the resolution might have scared off some cosponsors: “calls upon the Federal Government to combat the spread of all
forms of domestic terrorism.”

My personal favorite. H.R.2564, the Silver Cliff Community Act, introduced to much fanfare on 4/15/21, with 0 cosponsors. A dup of Scott Tipton’s bill. You can read the whole saga of the #silvercliff zip code here:
H.R.2755, MORE PILT Act, introduced 4/22/21, with 9 cosponsors. PILT is what the Federal government pays local governments instead of taxes. It stands for Payment in Lieu of Taxes. The bill asks that the Secretary of the Interior to develop a modeling tool, conduct a study, and
issue reports. And it’s waiting for action in.a committee that Lauren sits on, the House Committee on Natural Resources. There are 22 Republican members of the committee. You’d think she’d be able to get those folks to cosponsor it at least.
H.R.2962, To repurpose funds provided for COVID relief that have not been obligated for purposes of infrastructure development, and for other purposes. Introed 5/4/21, with 5 cosponsors. Intended to shuffle money around from COVID relief to Infrastructure. It’s sitting in three
subcommittees’ inboxes, including Subcommittee on Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation. If she thought it would go anywhere, she would have given it a catchier title.
H.R.3014, To preserve access to Federal lands, control fires, and for other purposes. Also known as the 30 x 30 Termination Act. Introduced on 5/7/21, with 26 cosponsors. This bill is to negate an executive order of Mr. Biden’s, and to prevent anything from impacting use of
Federal lands, as well as limiting the scope of any future National Monument declarations. This one falls under the Committee of Natural Resources (a committee she sits on) and the Agriculture Committee.
H.Res.493 Expressing disapproval of the failure to uphold the constitutional duty to "take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed" and the usurpation of the legislative authority of Congress by the President of the United States. Resolution introduced 6/23/21 with
24 cosponsors. In the hands of the Judiciary committee and Homeland Security. This is a toothless resolution on various immigration issues. It basically says, “The House disagrees with the President.” 8 Texans cosponsored, and finally she got Madge of the Three Names to cosponsor
H.R.4302, Active Forest Management, Wildfire Prevention and Community Protection Act. Introed 7/1/21 with 14 cosponsors, this is supposedly the answer to all forest fires. Oh, and to stop those nasty environmentalists from filing lawsuits. Her press release on this one is worth
reading, if only to see all the industry support she’s managed to round up. Or did they round her up? Also to see that she can’t keep numbers straight. She claimed 16 cosponsors, but Cammack and Fallon don’t show as actual cosponsors on the House website. boebert.house.gov/media/press-re…
And there you have it. 19 bllls and resolutions introduced. None passed. None even out of committee. An average of 11.8 cosponsors on each bill. Not the record of a successful legislator. Not the record of someone who would actually work to get a bill passed or out of committee.
There’s tweeting and TV interviews to do, doncha know. Those rubes back in Colorado will never notice, and if they do, we’ll just blame it on the commie socialist leftist Dems who just never want to be bipartisan.

That is why #SilverCliff still doesn’t have its zip code.

Dear Democratic Senators and Representatives,
I say this with love in my heart, but y’all need to get moving. The electorate has moved heaven and earth (and Georgia) to bring you to power. We did that because we believed you will lead, restore justice, and return sanity to the
political landscape.

You’ve done some of that. Thank you. You need to do more. It is not enough to announce investigations; you must investigate and publicly announce the results of those investigations.

We need you to worry less about “messaging.” We’ve heard all the talk we
need to hear. Now we need action.

We need you to spend less time reacting to whatever the GQP tries to frame as a crisis and more time acting.

You need to act on women’s healthcare choices. You need to restore voting rights. You need to get moving on the January

It seems like it was only yesterday (Narrator's voice, it was yesterday) that @RepBoebert tweeted "You can’t rewrite history by simply lying!" Now Lauren's trying to delete all evidence of her stupid tweet this morning. But we won't let her forget, will we? Samuel Adams, not John Image
Also, some fine work was done with this meme... we must not lose it

Welcome to the first part of the #LaurenBoebertLies summary.

Lauren’s favorite video of herself is with a life-size cardboard cutout of Kamala Harris. It must be, because she’s had it pinned on her @RepBoebert page since June 8. The joke is, much of her own life is a
cardboard invention.

She lies about her parentage. She said her mom was “divorced” while they were in Florida, but there’s no record of her mom being married or divorced in Florida.

But her lineage IS kinda interesting. Her mother tried suing Stan Lee the wrestler for child
support. The story gets weirder when the paternity tests came back negative, and weirder still when it turns out the woman who did the paternity test had a history of faking them. And there are court records in this reporting that include her birth certificate, which leads

It’s Monday and time for the #BoebertReportCard.

What a busy weekend Lauren had! There was performative patriotism. There was a family emergency that cancelled one event, but luckily it was magically resolved in time for another campaign event the
same day, and still she had time to tune into #tfg’s rally in a pasture in Alabama and quote a vulgar line.

A little grifting, warning of how Democrats are destroying this fine country. Outrage that the import of Russian ammunition is going to be blocked in September. And of
course, the obligatory anti-immigrant tweet.

Later today, I’ll be posting the first part of the #LaurenBoebertLies summary. Happy Monday, y’all, especially those who aren’t

What's in a name? I grew up hating my first name and I never knew why I got it. Leland. From the Teutonic, it means of or from the meadow land. Once I found that out, I hated it less. The mailman's first name was Leland. A neighbor also had the name. The barber in a nearby town.
Almost no one spells it right the first time. Leyland. Leeland. Lealand. Leighland. And when I worked in a call center, customers called me Leonard, Waylon, Leon, and a few other names.

But I fell in love with my name when I found out it was the middle name of one of my heroes:
Walter Leland Cronkite.

And that's the way it is.

Today’s #BoebertReportCard is a long one, so pour yourself a cup of coffee. Lauren didn’t have a good day yesterday. (Thread)

It started off with her campaign receiving a letter from the Federal Elections Commission. They noticed the Venmo payments from her campaign. They
noticed her numbers didn’t add up on contributions and expenditures (the individual amounts added up to a different number than she showed on her summary page). They noticed multiple donations over the legal amount.

You can see the letter here: docquery.fec.gov/pdf/670/202108…
Then her overdue Financial Disclosure hit the House Clerk’s website. She signed it only Tuesday, though it was due Friday.

And just like that, we learned that her husband is making upwards of $400K a year, working for a company she identified as Terra Energy Productions, but
