Officials asked to resign include Kellyanne Conway, Sean Spicer, and H.R. McMaster.

One year since diagnosis. We miss you and love you.
Still so surreal, right now Beans was coming out of surgery a year ago. We got some initial false hope it was a benign tumor.
Beans wakes on the Sept. 7th. Our world had changed. Two major surgeries, one life saving. A cancer diagnosis and our lives shattered forever. Unfair to us, but mostly to her. I share for awareness. That there’s still much to be done.

I wrote for the @nytimes about the costs of childhood cancer.

Each day my daughter battled cancer was horrific. But I was one of the lucky ones.

Families go bankrupt, have utilities shut off, max out credit cards, & lose at least one parent’s income.

A 2018 NCCS survey of 449 families found 95 % said their child’s cancer caused a financial burden on their family. A 2009 study in the American Journal of Medicine found that 14.6% of medical bankruptcies were caused by the illness of a child.
