In this thread you will learn about 9 key services for FACE identification by photo.

I will show them using a photo of Pamela Anderson (@pamfoundation) taken in the early 90s as an example.

yandex.ru/images/

The first thing you should do is just try searching for the file in the Yandex.Images service. In my opinion, this is the best service in the world for reverse image search.
Sometimes it is quite enough to answer the question, "Who is this?

search4faces.com/vk01/index.html

Now it's possible to try to search for a person's profile in the Russian social network VK ( 1,109,563,766 faces in database).

But this method doesn't work very well with known personalities...

At the same time check the database of VK.com and OK.ru persons (154,934,856 faces)

#Odnoklassniki
№4

search4faces.com/tt00/index.html

Search through 125,443,334 avatars of #TikTok users
№5

search4faces.com/ch00/index.html

And through 4,594,014 #clubhouse users
№6

news.myseldon.com/en/

This service shows the score of popularity of the person in the photo, a list of recent significant events in his life and a brief biography.
№7

If only a very fuzzy image (or just an image in memory) is available, you can draw a identikit of the person

facemaker.uvrg.org

And if you try hard, a search on identikit can also help find the person (view pic)
№8

There have been a lot of facial recognition #telegram bots lately. Here's an example:

t.me/pimeyesbot

(These bots are constantly appearing, then disappearing. Their current list can be found in the global #Telegram search for "face search", "face match" etc.)
№9

Also, you should not neglect other services to search for pictures. For example:

tineye.com
pic.sogou.com
same.energy
image.so.com

There are so many of them. Try different ones until you get a result.
This thread is end. Find other image searchers, telegram bots, and face APIs in my collection of #OSINT tools:

When searching on Google, use not only Lens, but also the OLD image search (which gives very different results). You can access it using this tool:

A very good tool for searching for faces and images in general, which is often more effective than Google. It also recognises text in images and translates it.

Is it possible to use neural networks to create a whole series of photos of one person for a fake social network profile ("sock puppet")?

I show by examples the possible way of solving the problem (this is not an easy way ).

🧵🧵🧵
In order to successfully pretend to be another person on the Internet, you need a series of photos in different places and different clothes. But it's a lot of work to make these (even with AI).

First, let's create a photo of a person's face.

Now let's try to combine this photo with different images of other men using UnCLIP_Image_Interpolation_Demo.

If you try many different variants and adjust step 12, there is a chance of getting some good-looking variants.

6 tips for working with presentations and video reports in foreign languages

(1/7)🧵🧵🧵
You can take the easy way and just translate the presentation file using one of the many online services:

doctranslator.com/translate-ppt/
onlinedoctranslator.com
products.aspose.app/pdf/translate/…

But often this leads to poor quality results. But for some situations it is quite good.

(2/7)🧵
It is better to extract text from a presentation so you can translate it later with more advanced translators. This can be done with the help of these services:

products.aspose.app/slides/parser
zamzar.com/convert/pptx-t…
convertio.co/ppt-txt/

Tools for video📽️ analysis

Basic online tools to help you use information from videos more effectively in your #osint investigations:

- text extraction
- deepfake detection
- instant identification of key frames
- metadata view

and more.

(1/15)🧵
Often investigators have to deal with videos that are posted on various sites. Download them to your computer using these services:

YouTube:
en.y2mate.is
Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Tiktok: inflact.com/downloader/
Vimeo and others:
savethevideo.com/downloader

(2/15)🧵
For slow and thoughtful viewing of YouTube videos frame by frame, these services are handy:

watchframebyframe.com
anilyzer.com

And any online video editor can be used for frame-by-frame analysis of the video file:

Veed, Canva, Clipchamp, Kapwing etc
