Most rapes and sexual assaults go under reported.

The. There is the fact that the justice system treats it like a joke as a whole. According to RAINN  for every 1,000 rapes, 384 are reported to police, 57 result in an arrest, 11 are referred for prosecution, 7 result in a felony conviction, and 6 result in incarceration.

And lord knows that the republican party takes rape and sexual assault about as seriously as voting for a man who flat out admitted to sexual assault on tape with absolutely no remorse. Who was the codefendant in several lawsuits with Jeffery Epstein.

Claiming that you are somehow going to mystically rid the streets of rapists sounds like what you are really saying is "we are just gonna double the police budget"

This is excluding, you know, police not following through with rape kit back logs.

Not to mention cops sometimes being the perpetrators of the crime itself.

I'm well aware this issue is phenomenally bipartisan, and that the left has its own demons to exorcise, but I can let that comment slide. That's a fucking lie and we all know it
