"How to launch to 1,000+ people when starting from 0"

I think I've found a new strategy for founders who are literally starting from 0 (or close to 0) Image
Like literally 0 - if you don't have any other leverage

We were in that situation with Simple.ink. We'll be launching soon, but I don't have

β€’ A Notion community w/ 5k ppl
β€’ An email list
β€’ A FB group etc

So what do you do?

I'm thinking: you make your own way
Currently we've gathered 495 interested people

But we're not done yet β€” I'm not even halfway into my experiment

I can't wait to share what I learned so I can save you guys some time β€” and I think most ppl will like the strategy because it's pretty much Image
β€’ Mostly a grind, but not TOO much
β€’ You don't need to bet on going viral
β€’ There's direct feedback pretty fast, which'll keep you engaged

And when you're ready to launch your product, you'll be launching to 1,000 ppl β€” or more
Will come back to this.

First I need to see how far I can take that number of 495

πŸ‘©β€πŸ’» Solo founder?

How to make customer support make you more $$$ in the long-run,

Rather than just being 'time-consuming'

(which might/might not make you more $)
1. Make a video reply for the question

β€’ Say 'Anne asks... [question]'
β€’ The video reply is a nice touch from the founder
β€’ Feels more personal as it's 1-on-1 help now
2. Post the video, add it to your knowledge base

β€’ It now looks like a Q&A 'show'
β€’ That 1-on-1 feeling can be scaled to others
β€’ It's normal to have it low-touch with a screen record (i.e. no Hollywood production needed)

Huh! Something interesting is popping up on our r/SaaS community!

@noahwbragg might've started a trend?

He posted this (below), and then ...
2 things happened:

1. Somebody from @Prezly did the same πŸ‘‡
2. u/sonjook asked for extra examples

So there's demand for more!

Actionable advice: Embody the branding, v2

just to show that it doesn't have to be only about CSS

Why: Champion what you stand for. People will rally behind your belief, if they share it

Experiment: this tweet below

It's featured 21 accounts

In time, I'm sure the list will expand

I'll want to test whether:

A. An update will work better
B. A re-launch will work better

What do I mean by that:

(thread)

OPTION A

An update would mean I keep replying with a new set of ppl. Let's say "Update: 10 more people, since you're here" β€” and then I add those 10 ppl as replies

Assumptions:
β†’ It might start a new wave of shares
β†’ This new wave of shares keeps ppl engaged
β†’ Some will scroll to the top
β†’ The original tweet might make new rounds
β†’ Whole thing's reinforced
