(1/4) Re #LTN’s, I’ve heard a lot of people say: ‘But what about disabled people? They need to be able to drive…!’ as if all disabled people are against LTNs. But this just isn’t true. Take my lovely neighbour @SalliBh for example… 
(2/4) Salli’s here with son Jesse, grand-daughter Tilly and greyhound Phaen. She’s hugely passionate about having an LTN round here. She said that rat-runners have been speeding so fast, she has trouble getting across the road quick enough…
(3/4) And has had some terrifyingly close encounters. She’d also like her grand-daughter Tilly to be able to ride a bike round here, but doesn’t think it’s currently safe…. Her son Jesse says that yes, he might have to drive a longer route, but it’s worth it to know that…
(4/4) his mum would be safer crossing the road. They’ve all experienced speeding, shouting, swearing drivers recently, and Jesse thinks it’s only a matter of time before someone loses their life… 🤞🏻 that doesn’t happen…
And talking of neighbours, here’s the lovely @UkCarojm (Caro), who’s also had some terrifying near-misses. On one occasion, a rat-runner sped up towards her and only missed her by inches. She was pale and shaky for about an hour afterwards. She’s lucky to be alive…

And just in case anyone missed it- our earlier thread about the elderly… this was a lovely chap I saw last night! @mikehakata you would have liked him.. excitedly chatting away about how he used to work nearby, using his trolley to walk- right down the middle of the road!
