Halder was a Lost-Causer, too. And, just like in the 19th century, the US government embraced a pernicious myth because it was politically convenient for powerful whites. Image

Defenders of capitalism never stop talking about how it's "the most efficient way* of distributing needed this, services, and resources across society and that's simply never been true

Them-we would like development opportunities
Me-ok, cool. That's my jam. *creates a year's worth of programming*
Them-*don't attend any programs*
--Time passes--
Them-why aren't you offering development opportunities

The GOP death march continues apace. Killing kids to own the libs.
By any objective standard, this is sociopathic behavior. But it's treated as a purely political horse race, a simple matter of which party is 'winning', instead of a completely unhinged willingness to literally risk kids' lives to serve GOP dogma.
How big a difference is there, really, between our antimask/antivax Right and the actual practice of human sacrifice?
