Sri VAMANA Jayanti (17.09.2021) VamAna-Avatara cHintana-Bhadrapada Sukla Dwadasi is reckoned as Dadhi Vamana Jayanti. Sri Vamana avatara took place on Dwadasi day in the constellation of SRavana - Lord Vishnu is star Deity of Sravana nakshatra & presiding Deity for Dwadasi thithi ImageImageImageImage
Dadhi (curd) daana should be made on the day of Bhadrapada Sukla Dwwadasi; 🙏 Dadhi Priyo Devata is Vamana 🙏
Apart from in DasaAvathra we come across all the three names of VaAmana (Thrivikrama, Vamana and Upendra) in Chaturvimshati Kesavaadi vYuHa ruupas’of Lord Vishnu with interchange in holding of Ayudhas;
What message does Vaamana-Avathara episode of Bali conveys? Hidden behind every Avathara of Paramatma is always a message/moral conveyed.

First and the foremost...
"HARI SARVOTTAMATVA" was re-established;
Bhagavantha is SARANAAGATHA VATSALA;
In Vaamana Avathara the message is Saranagathi (total surrender) to the God however mighty one may be. When once you shed your ego and surrender totally with devotion at the feet of the Supreme God there is nothing to fear/worry about; one will get total protection.

contd...
Lord was known as Vamana because he was dwarf in form at the beginning. While suppressing the pride & vanity of King Bali, He was known as Thrivikrama when He grew to a gigantic size & conquered the 3 worlds, Earth, Upper worlds & Nether worlds with just three paces of his foot. Image
Born to Sage Kasyapa & Aditi, He was also referred as Upendra the younger brother of Indra. Upa also means 'above' indicating that He is much superior to Indra. He is the Supreme God Vishnu - Hari Sarvottama. SVSNS describes Vishnu as Upendro-Vamanah-Trivikramah (sloka 17 & 56)
We come across all the 3 names Thrivikrama/Vamana/Upendra in Chaturvimshati (24) Kesava Namas vYuHa ruupas’of Lord Vishnu. An exclusive Purana named after Lord Vaamana, Sri Vamana Purana scripted by Lord & Sage Sri Vedavyaasa forms part of Ashtadasa Puraanas.
Appearance of Lord Vamana is highlight of 8th canto of SriMadBhagavatam. Sri Venkatesha Stothram (Brahmanda Purana) eulogizes Lord Srinivasa as
"Varaaho Vaamanaschaiva Naaraayana Adhokshajah"
Lord Vishnu took this avathara in order to suppress the arrogance, vanity and pride of Emperor Bali (Bali Chakravarthi) and to restore the glory, power and authority of Lord Indra over the Heaven who had lost his power and kingdom (Swarga) to King Bali.
Uniqueness of this Avathara is that the Lord did not use any weapon. The only weapon he used was that of imploring King Bali in accordance to the Brahmanic (Brahmachari) form he had attained.
Lord Vishnu (Vamana) did not kill Bali though he was an Asura. He conquered him in a Vedic way with his intelligence. He had to resort to this strategy due to promise/boon he made to his beloved devotee Prahlada not to kill any of his descendants. Bali was grandson of Prahlada.
Bhagavantha is Bhakta-Vatsala🙏
Sri Vamana Avathara was 5th in line of Dasavatharas of Lord Vishnu. It took place during Treta Yuga before Sri Parashurama Avathara. Lord Vishnu was born as son of Sage Kashyapa & his wife Aditi in accordance to the penance performed by them & prayers of Indra & other Deities.

➡️SYMBOLISM OF LORD GANESHA - Pointers...

> What does it convey?

Generally, we find Lord Ganesha depicted as a dwarf and fatty figure with pot belly, elephant head, large ears, small eyes, long nose, mouse as vehicle etc.

contd...
From an artistic angle this figure is most enchanting and blissful. But, behind this artistic symbolism hidden is, a philosophy, a moral, a management principle and a lesson for every body to learn in life. contd...
> Big Head: Simple living and high thinking. It depicts the wisdom, knowledge (intelligence), discrimination, clear planning, and foresightedness which are very much the principles of management.

Anusandhana for worshiping Lord Ganesha.....
Sri GanapatiAntargatha
BharatiramanaMukhyaPranaAntargatha
Sri ViswaroopaViswambharayaNamaha;
Lord Ganesha's worship/anugraha/blessings are very much required to mitigate Vipareeta JnyaAna and to know/learn yathaArtha jnyaAna ie., "Hari SArvottama-Vaayu Jeevottama"
To get rid of vaKra buddHi (purverted intelligence); to have discriminative intelligence one should worship, have वक्रतुण्ड महाकाय anugraha, it is very much required; Lord of Vignas (obstacles), Lord Ganesha is controller of obstacles & destroyer of miseries of his devotees.
