Let me take you into year 2009 when James Chanos predicted collapse of China citing fraudulent data.

What @WorldBank statement didn’t mention is how China played the role in discontinuance of the Doing Business Report for the way it tried to manipulate its ranking from 85 to 78 in 2018. What this report by Wilmerhale proves is that Indian performance in Doing Business Ranking was actually clean and it again reinforces the belief and trust in the sanctity of Indian data.

At the same time, it proves what Chanos has been saying since 2009 about China!

Often in the past,many Modi hating media hit squads trashed India’s good performance at EODB rankings of @WorldBank & even questioned it. You know what @pujamehra and ace economist @rupasubramanya - I have a bad news for u - this discontinuation of Doing Business rankings has conclusive proven what was said in a hush-hush tone - that China is an emperor in underwear. Guess what, India is actually a beneficiary now!

Ever since @BJP4India became a force to reckon with in 90s, one narrative that we grew up with after it was thrusted down our throats was that BJP is a Hindu Nationalist Party.

For Indira, BJP was a Baniya party and this Hindu identity was courtesy western media & continues!
The fixation of western media to allocate identities to political movements is ltd to non Christian countries ONLY-reason y US, despite Presidents taking oath under Bible or European countries ruled by several Christian parties,none of them is identified as disparagingly as BJP!
As majority of Muslim nations don’t have democracy so media is not obligated to call them so; in Muslim countries with some semblance of democracy- for ex in Pak, neither PMLN nor PPP is identified as disparagingly as BJP in India. Ditto for BD. Not much diff is case of Turkey!

Hindus need to shed their non expansionist nature. In any case, cornerstone of our faith is that we are like a flowing river and must adapt as times and circumstances!
It just occurred to me that if anyone calls me a Hindu supremacist , why shud I take it as an abuse / on the contrary it is a badge of honour as it actually reinforces our belief that we are better than others as we are NOT religion but a dharma!
World over past 1400 yrs has seen supremacy of Abrahamic faiths;yet it is constantly @ war with itself. Abt time, 3rd largest faith takes its rightful place/perhaps those who are organising DGH conference feel that rise of Hindus is a foregone conclusion n hence preemptive move!
