Some people are worried about exclusivity.
Keeping the sale based on a time limit alone is probably the best thing we could have done for exclusivity.
There have only been 587 tokens minted so far and that includes the ones for the giveaways and the team.

We wanted this collection to be about sharing the moment with the Cardano community, not only as a celebration but by actually including a 100% functional smart contract that has been run on the Cardano mainnet shortly after the Alonzo hardfork event.

So if you're worried about exclusivity - don’t be. By not choosing an arbitrary number of, let’s say 10K tokens, we’re actually keeping the collection a lot more exclusive.
A much higher number, but capped would have probably sold out quickly.

Those who view it strictly as an investment and nothing more will probably stay away for now because of the uncertainty associated with a time-based limit, especially one that seems large.
It’s really not, 3 epochs (15 days) from the start will be gone before you know it.

This decision may result in minting far fewer NFTs than we would have, had we picked a hard number cap, and will probably end up “costing” us lots of ADA, but we’re okay with that, as the collection was about a lot more than profits.

We took this decision partly because we are not “high profile” in the Cardano community and we wanted to allow more time for it to spread and for people to discover & run the actual functioning royalties smart contract.

We made all our plans very clear before launch, including very clearly mentioning that the sale will be open for 3 Epochs.

A lot of planning, preparation & effort has gone into producing Icons and getting it ready in time for the HFC. Not only on our side but from the developers also.

Testing the contract on the testnet and correctly implementing it before launch was the priority.

Nevertheless, the pull request to get the project verified on @CNFT_IO was submitted shortly after the project launched, but we are not in control of other people's time, and how they manage it is their business alone.
