The speaker was like “ok.” and started singing.

An incredible statement from Portland police, their sidelining themselves.
“You should not expect to see police officers standing in the middle of the crowd trying to keep people apart. People should keep themselves apart and avoid physical confrontation."
This was last years event. Police didn’t separate crowds, it sounds like their taking the same approach this year.
This 3-person team consisting of PortlandFire, street response, and emergency management bureau are passing out water, ice, and snacks along the spring water trail.
