Do you know a total of 14 FIRs were registered against 49 BJP-RSS leaders for their role in the anti-Sikh riots of 1984?
The RSS and the BJP were first in line with those who pressured the Indira Gandhi-led Congress government at the centre to take military action in the Golden Temple. BJP under Vajpayee and Advani sat on a dharna demanding the armed forces be sent into the Golden Temple.
RSS leader Nanaji Deshmukh justified the anti-Sikh riots. According to him, "The massacre of Sikhs was not the handiwork of any group or anti-social elements but the result of a genuine feeling of anger among Hindus of India."

Initially, the GoI through PM care funds procured the 5.6 crores doses of Covishield at the unit cost of
Rs.210/- including taxes (Rs.200 + 5% GST) and 1.0 crores doses of Covaxin at the unit cost of Rs. 309.75/- including taxes (Rs. 295 + 5% GST).

Currently, the govt is procuring the COVID-19 vaccines (10 crores Covishield and 2 crore Covaxin) at the unit cost of Rs. 157.50/- including taxes (Rs.150 + 5% GST).
That means, in the initial purchase, the govt spent an additional Rs. 446.25 crores. Who was the PM caring?

The real number of Covid deaths in India will never come out - a thread.
According to Gujarati daily Divya Bhaskar, 65,085 more deaths were registered in the state this year from March 1 to May 10 in comparison with the same period last year. (1/-)
Official Covid death numbers of the state are only 4.218 people.
As per the latest estimates, Gujarat's population is 7.1 crores with a density of population of 308/km². According to the National Family Health Survey 2019-20, 95.7% of the urban population and 91.6% of (2/-)
the rural population of the state registered deaths in the family with civil authorities. i.e., 93% of deaths in Gujarat are registered.
Even though the state's public health infrastructure in rural areas is in pathetic condition, it is better in urban areas. (3/-)

1. The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Health and Family Welfare report submitted on November 25 last year clearly predicted a second wave and highlighted shortages of medical oxygen and hospital beds.
The govt slept over that report for 5 long months

2. The report said: "spikes in Covid cases are still being seen in affected regions and India is yet to reach its peak. India must also be prepared to combat a possible second wave of Corona..." and "inadequate healthcare spending with no focused budget for Covid”
3. It said “The committee is of the view that Districts and States with poor public health sectors need to be identified on priority and provided the required infrastructure for tracing, testing and treatment by providing the required financial aid.”
