Good morning from New York.

Reporting inside Manhattan Criminal Court for the next hearing in the case of ex-Trump Org CFO Allen Weisselberg and the Trump entities.

Covering the proceedings live, @lawcrimenews.

Preview lawandcrime.com/high-profile/a… Image
Press and public are now allowed inside the courtroom. Proceedings should begin shortly.
Weisselberg's lawyer:

“We have strong reason to believe there could be more indictments coming.”
This was primarily a scheduling hearing. The lawyer mentioned that possibility in an effort to delay. Judge granted a 120-day adjournment.

Trial will likely be August or September 2022.
Put another way, shortly before the midterm elections.
Round up of what happened, closing the loop on this thread.

New order in Ghislaine Maxwell's case:

"Feds Must Disclose ‘Identities of Any Unnamed Co-Conspirators’ to Ghislaine Maxwell, Trial Judge Rules"

Developing story, @LawCrimeNews lawandcrime.com/high-profile/f…
As the hed suggests, the order is about disclosing the identities to the defense.

The story and screenshot further clarify that the identities are limited to those that prosecutors plan to refer to at Maxwell's trial in November.
This could be a rather short list:

Prosecutors say they currently plan to refer to co-conspirator statements by two people—but that could change.

That hedge is one of the grounds Judge Nathan ruled against prosecutors.

There's another very interesting part of the order.

He says his client has "repudiated the Q."

(Chansley is widely known as the "QAnon Shaman.")
Watkins:

"Today, Jake made a monumental step toward doing right by our nation, and doing right by himself. He entered a plea of guilty" to one felony count of obstruction.

Arguments over pre-sentencing release continue:

Despite saying Chansley's psych eval showed him competent, Watkins insists that it also revealed mental health issues warranting release.

"I want to get him healed and on the road to get him further healed."
Judge Lamberth said he'll take the pre-sentencing release issue under advisement.
