I'm just getting past a #BREAKTHROUGH bout with #COVID19.
I was vaccinated with the J&J vaccine on 4/10/2021.
I have no idea how I got it. I just started with three symptoms

on Saturday, 9/4/2021, I started smelling a 'residual' odor and felt slightly nauseous, like an early flu. I stopped eating and limited my drinking to water and gatorade.

this persisted for three days, until I told a wonderful friend, who started bringing me care packages, including the only solid food that I ate for two weeks - bananas. It seemed to be the only food without an aftertaste.

I finally went, on 9/9, to get the #COVID19 rapid test and it showed positive. So I called some family and a couple of friends.
I got so much love. SO MUCH LOVE❣️
And more care packages.

And they all jumped all over me. I got calls and texts and all kinds of advice. and more love.
THE MOST IMPORTANT ADVICE I GOT WAS TO GET THE MONOCLONAL ANTIBODIES INFUSION.
I GOT THE INFORMATION FOR LOCAL AVAILABILITY FROM MY INSURANCE COMPANY.

On 9/13/2021, I got the Infusion and the wonderful people at the hospital have followed up with me daily as I have self-quarantined, checking my temperature and oxygen level and asking question about other symptoms.
I lost 18 pounds in ten days dropping from 228 to 210

anyway, my appetite returned on the 18th and I've gained back 5 pounds. During my last conversation with the hospital, I was advised that I can end quarantine this week, a week after receiving the monoclonal antibodies infusion.

I've been especially grateful for
1. having been vaccinated
2. the help of my insurance company and the hospital and staff
3. the love and support of family and friends.
