Why haven’t you stopped the sexualisation, harassment and exploitation of girls by predatory men on @Instagram? Facebook says there’s ‘no place’ for child exploitation on its platforms - why do we see it DAILY? /1
For the past 2 years we have documented widespread predatory activity on Instagram. We have seen some changes to Instagram’s policies + new tools to “keep teens safe”. But girls - teen and even pre teen - are not safe. 2/
We continue to document deeply disturbing activity, happening in plain sight on Instagram:
paedophile forums posing as Instagram accounts (“shout out” pages), scraping content from girls’ personal pages + sharing them with thousands of men.
Posts are tagged with terms which cater to paedophilic fantasy and help predators find more girls to connect with. 3/
We have shown how “child modelling” is not about modelling but about predators: the end result of pics of girls in underwear, bikinis + dance wear on Instagram is men broadcasting sex abuse fantasies involving the girls, 4/
masturbating to the images, and even filming these sex acts (in so-called “cum tributes”) to share online.
In 2019 we found names of 550 girls aged 0-15yo on an open online paedophile forum. Men used the forum to share images +vids of the girls + discuss child sex abuse acts they wanted to carry out on them.
Of a sample, we found that ALL were linked to Instagram accounts. 6/
A girl featured on the paedophile forum -a 1 YR OLD -had her own Insta page. A predator commented to another who expressed sexual interest in the TODDLER, saying she was ‘too young’. He replied, ‘I’ll pass her over to you in 7 ys time then. Maybe a little shop soiled though’ 7/
Many of the girls are still on Instagram today, being connected to more predators. Another toddler featured on the forum, now 4, has an Instagram following of 66.5k. According to her bio, she’s a ‘fashion model’ and ‘influencer’. 8/
We’ve been told repeatedly that under 13s are not allowed on Instagram. Why can we find multitudes of ‘tween’/’pre-teen’ girls - so called “models” and “influencers” on Instagram? And why is @Instagram continuing to connect them to thousands of predatory men? 9/
Girls - teen, young teen and pre teen - are being degraded and exploited on Instagram. Men can purchase their content - bikini pics included - on their personal websites, and content sharing sites like Patreon, Boosty and Select Sets, which are promoted in their bios. 10/
We have been calling on Instagram to stop allowing its platform to be used as an advertising site to flog sexualised content featuring minors. Instagram has failed to act. 11/
We will continue to highlight the failures of big tech to protect underage girls from sexualisation, predatory activity and exploitation; work to make parents aware; and campaign for change. 12/end
“All of Prostasia’s goals and campaigns lead to the exact same conclusion: The total normalization and acceptance of pedophilia in wider society.” 4w.pub/prostasia-norm…
In an expose of @ProstasiaInc, Anna Slatz @Slatzism writes, “Protecting children from exposure to sex abuse seems to not just be at the very bottom of Prostasia’s to-do list, it is almost antithetical to its entire existence.”
Despite claiming to be a child protection org, Prostasia core work includes “crusades against child pornography bans, letter-writing campaigns to state representatives demanding child-like sex dolls be kept legal, funding research into ‘fantasy sexual outlets’ for pedophiles.”
In our 2-yr investigation, we've documented the widespread sexualisation, harassment + fetishisation of underage girls by men on Instagram, + the complicity of parents who photograph, share + sell the content.
'They set up subscription-based websites and accounts on content-sharing platforms like Patreon and Boosty to sell images of underage girls wearing bikinis, cosplay costumes, g-strings and lingerie.
Online global e-commerce platform @Etsy still has not responded to the petition calling on corporate heads to stop selling incest + child abuse themed merch.
So we got together with some of our global anti sexploitation partners to send a letter to #Etsy's major shareholders.
These companies are profiting from @Etsy's sexploitative merch - including replica child body parts marketed for men's sexual use, and products with slogans which normalise + fetishise child sexual abuse. #EtsyExploitation
Prostituted women, far more often than the general population, are diagnosed with STIs such as gonorrhea, chlamydia, trichomonads, genital warts, syphilis, hepatitis and HIV @DanielAndrewsMP
Frequent vaginal rinsing led to destroyed pH levels in the vagina and destroyed vaginal fluid, resulting in infections, inflammation and an increased risk in cervical carcinoma @DanielAndrewsMP
Everyday we hear from more supporters who tell us they've dumped @etsy for its failure to uphold #corporatesocialresponsibility + for its sale of child sexual abuse material + child abuse themed merch
'I had a portion of my business on @Etsy. I was proud to sell my handcrafted items on a platform I believed shared my value for humanity + community. Then I found out it was selling child sex abuse dolls + replica body parts.
