Only in Canada would the conservative press think “Should the guy who just won the election resign?” is a not a batshit crazy poll question.
It’s just sad. They do this because their conservative readership will return a majority of yes answers which they will then “report” on in the form of an article which their affiliates will run intact or with a new narrative using the poll.
Eventually they start citing each other to provide legitimacy. At some point someone at the G&M, Fife or Coyne or Urback will write a story or column on the topic. The PostMedia group will then cite *that* article for a fresh round.
At some point a CPC MP will hold up a copy of one of these articles in the HoC, likely Poilievre or Rempel, and wave it around, outraged, and ask the PM whether he will listen to Canadians and resign, for the good of the country, so we can “heal” from our divisions.
