CNN’s @brianstelter: How should the “reality-based media” like CNN cover Republicans?

Yale Prof. Timothy Snyder: "My advice for the press corps is to drop the 'fair and balanced'” approach
@brianstelter WaPo’s @crampell: Media focusing too much on the pricetag of Dems’ $3.5T bill: “The bill itself will not cost $3.5T in the sense it will be entirely, or at least partly, paid for. So the actual cost will be smaller than that, perhaps zero, although I think that’s unlikely"
@brianstelter @crampell Stelter to @nhannahjones on school districts banning the #1619Project curriculum: “Is this just the ‘whitelash' in another form, Nikole? Some white Americans afraid to deal with reality?”
@brianstelter @crampell @nhannahjones Hannah-Jones: "We’re not just seeing bans on the 1619 Project. We're hearing parents saying we don’t think you should teach the story of Ruby Bridges because it makes white children feel bad. We are seeing bans against the teachings of Martin Luther King’s works."
@brianstelter @crampell @nhannahjones Cont’d: "This is actually trying to control the collective memory of this country, and trying to say ‘We’re just going to purge uncomfortable truths from our collective memory' and that’s very dangerous."

Terrifying news: A dangerous contagion is sweeping across Washington. It’s a virus that specifically targets victims’ hippocampus, particularly impacting the area of the brain responsible for … basic math. See for yourself!
Reporters are also getting infected!
It’s even spreading inside the White House!

They told us the Steele Dossier was "corroborated"

Then we learned it was entirely debunked.
They said the surveillance state would never be used against Americans.

Then we learned it happens all the time.

Then we learned it was the other way around

THREAD: It wasn’t only Twitter & Facebook that were trying to throw the election through their manipulation of information. Dozens of blue check progressives circulated fake news that the Hunter story was “disinformation.” These people should be shamed. 1)
2) @AnandWrites, who seems to have deleted the tweet. (Fortunately I saved a copy)
@AnandWrites 3) Journalist @WajahatAli celebrated the censorship of his media colleagues’ reporting on the false grounds it was “Russian disinformation”

On CNN, a network that's referred to Trump as “insane” literally hundreds of times, @JohnAvlon takes umbrage that Fox News hosts have commented on what Avlon’s CNN colleague Jake Tapper’s also acknowledged — Biden’s suffered obvious mental decline.
@JohnAvlon Per @GrabienMedia, since Nov. 2017, CNN hosts/guests have used the word “insane” to describe Trump more than 1,500 times, totaling almost 24 hours in total broadcast time. (Obviously they also used similar pejoratives as well.)
