‘Replacement Theory’ posits that bad actors conspire to dilute the civilizational (read: racial) ‘purity’ of a nation by allowing immigration to change demographics, and by extension, values.
You might say… the ‘browning of America.’
But that’s not [at all] all.
Replacement Theory’s bad actors are described as ‘globalists’ now by mainstream politicians like Matt Gaetz - thinly veiled code for… Jews.
“Elites / globalists want open borders and will destroy US sovereignty” means:
“Jews are flooding the country with Brown people”
“Replacement Theory” originated in white supremacists’ anti-Semitic, racist conspiracies that predate the Civil Rights era —
But that’s when the ‘globalist/Jew/white genocide’ melding really took off.
Here’s the why and how:
Matt Gaetz’s location doesn’t change the origins of Replacement Theory.
If this question is meant to imply validity:
Florida has been a hub for white supremacist groups long before the arrival of Cuban exiles or any immigration waves that brought a diverse population.
Racists fought to preserve segregation by claiming Civil Rights activists were extremists creating instability to undermine the American way of life.
FBI J. Edgar Hoover was one such figure.
Many pointed to “outside agitators” — which merged well with Red Scare ideology.
Segregationists were so racist they didn’t see Black activists as smart enough to be in control of the Civil Rights struggle.
Instead, it had to be Communists, aka “THE JEWS!” Why?
“Jews promote miscegenation while only marrying in-group to undermine white racial superiority.”
Replacement Theory parallel here, as it evolved:
“Outside” forces disloyal to America [‘globalists / Jews’] want to make White the minority, and exploit Black and Brown people.
Here, Communists are Jews preaching a cynical egalitarian message to destroy the US from within.
When you see hysterical references to ‘by 2050 [etc] whites will be the minority’ or ‘Replacement Theory,’ you’re witnessing white supremacists’ fears and assumptions.
And here’s what it means:
“The West rightfully belongs only to White Christians”
As always - WAIT WAIT THERE’S MORE
Cold War tensions kept alive the Civil Rights style of ‘Communist / Jews / globalists are at the root of racial unrest’ conspiracy - a short jump to ‘white genocide.’
See: South Africa.
Reagan / Thatcher era South Africa and the apartheid struggle was another staging ground for white supremacist ‘Replacement Theory’ BS.
Here:
‘Mandela is a terrorist supported by Russian Communists to undermine global US hegemony and empower Blacks and the expense of Whites’
Replacement Theory’s white supremacist origins explain why South Africa still looms large in Tucker Carlson’s hysteria over white farm owners today, and why Dylann Roof [and tons of others] had ‘Rhodesia’ patches.
It’s just a more politic way to say…
“white genocide”
Replacement Theory’s link to anti-Communism during the Civil Rights struggle is also where we get “cultural Marxism.”
That’s the anti-Semitic “Jews control the schools and dilute racial purity by preaching egalitarianism.”
Breivik used this as his 2011 massacre justification.
The ‘antifa/BLM are communists/globalists/cultural Marxists’ crap of today is the exact same idea I described during the Civil Rights struggle.
It’s now “white genocide” in some circles, and “Replacement Theory” in others.
Just more (slightly) successfully laundered.
Seeing “white genocide” enter mainstream discourse is disturbing - especially when you know where it came from.
David Lane (creator of the 14 words) wrote a manifesto titled “White Genocide.”
Remember that West Point Board appointee? Embedded thread to refresh your memory.
Thought exercise: give Matt Gaetz the benefit of the “zero historical awareness” doubt - maybe he’s so stupid he doesn’t know the racist origin of “Replacement Theory.”
That just means you’re seeing…
…successful white supremacist strategy in action.
What a great crowd Matt Gaetz finds himself in.🤷🏻♀️
In recent years, transnational aspects of Replacement Theory have merged, as has terminology, even as “the enemy” gets reworked — but the conspiracy in the United States traces back to the Bokshevik Revolution and rise of the labor movement.
Yes, Great Replacement discourse isn’t confined to the US.
I’m not trying to engage in revisionism by disregarding transnational permutations and influences or advance American hegemony.
Since Matt Gaetz is a US politician criticizing a US organization to defend a US tv host, I tried to give the briefest possible US overview.
I don’t have time today to fully engage the mutual influence and merging conspiracies within the US and transnationally.
(Gotta go!)
No.
If I were “trying,” I’d go into depth about transnational white supremacist networks from before Rockwell’s ANP, Skrewdriver/W.A.R. 80s music scene, etc. to situate “Eurabia” style conspiracies within centuries old anti-Semitism. No time.
Discovery question is related to something I across recently:
[Redacted], white supremacists serving as their own criminal defense attorneys, turned over boxes of photocopied discovery from their trials to Tom Metzger.
I got rejected from another minimum wage job today because my PhD means I’m too qualified — never mind there aren’t openings for jobs in qualified for.
Sometimes I wish those Neo Nazis had managed to kill me in 2019, instead of “just” costing me my career.
It was my purpose.

It’s been so hard to hang on to the light since then; patreon angels of mine, I feel a post coming on.
This one’s gonna be just for subscribers, because it just feels too personal right now.
(Rant brought on by a phone convo with my heart and soul @_Shan_Martinez_ . I was telling her about the last university class I got to teach, and those memories just ripped my heart wide open again. Professors, treasure the chance you’ve been given to make a difference.)
I’ve had a raging migraine most of today, so be patient with me. This will likely be a slow thread - sitting in the dark and can’t sleep from the pain, so what the hell? Why not rant.
Josh Mandel is Jewish. His grandparents survived the Holocaust.
So this “CRT vs. GOD” reference of his, with it very long, very racist, [and very well-documented] history, is…
