“Replacement Theory” — also known as “white genocide” is a very old, transparently white supremacist talking point.

‘Replacement Theory’ posits that bad actors conspire to dilute the civilizational (read: racial) ‘purity’ of a nation by allowing immigration to change demographics, and by extension, values.

You might say… the ‘browning of America.’

But that’s not [at all] all.

Replacement Theory’s bad actors are described as ‘globalists’ now by mainstream politicians like Matt Gaetz - thinly veiled code for… Jews.

“Elites / globalists want open borders and will destroy US sovereignty” means:

“Jews are flooding the country with Brown people”

“Replacement Theory” originated in white supremacists’ anti-Semitic, racist conspiracies that predate the Civil Rights era —

But that’s when the ‘globalist/Jew/white genocide’ melding really took off.

Here’s the why and how:

Matt Gaetz’s location doesn’t change the origins of Replacement Theory.

If this question is meant to imply validity:

Racists fought to preserve segregation by claiming Civil Rights activists were extremists creating instability to undermine the American way of life.

FBI J. Edgar Hoover was one such figure.

Many pointed to “outside agitators” — which merged well with Red Scare ideology.

Segregationists were so racist they didn’t see Black activists as smart enough to be in control of the Civil Rights struggle.

Instead, it had to be Communists, aka “THE JEWS!” Why?

“Jews promote miscegenation while only marrying in-group to undermine white racial superiority.”

Replacement Theory parallel here, as it evolved:

“Outside” forces disloyal to America [‘globalists / Jews’] want to make White the minority, and exploit Black and Brown people.

Here, Communists are Jews preaching a cynical egalitarian message to destroy the US from within.

When you see hysterical references to ‘by 2050 [etc] whites will be the minority’ or ‘Replacement Theory,’ you’re witnessing white supremacists’ fears and assumptions.

And here’s what it means:

“The West rightfully belongs only to White Christians”

Cold War tensions kept alive the Civil Rights style of ‘Communist / Jews / globalists are at the root of racial unrest’ conspiracy - a short jump to ‘white genocide.’

Reagan / Thatcher era South Africa and the apartheid struggle was another staging ground for white supremacist ‘Replacement Theory’ BS.

Replacement Theory’s link to anti-Communism during the Civil Rights struggle is also where we get “cultural Marxism.”

That’s the anti-Semitic “Jews control the schools and dilute racial purity by preaching egalitarianism.”

Breivik used this as his 2011 massacre justification.

The ‘antifa/BLM are communists/globalists/cultural Marxists’ crap of today is the exact same idea I described during the Civil Rights struggle.

It’s now “white genocide” in some circles, and “Replacement Theory” in others.

Just more (slightly) successfully laundered.

Seeing “white genocide” enter mainstream discourse is disturbing - especially when you know where it came from.

Thought exercise: give Matt Gaetz the benefit of the “zero historical awareness” doubt - maybe he’s so stupid he doesn’t know the racist origin of “Replacement Theory.”

Yes, Great Replacement discourse isn’t confined to the US.

I’m not trying to engage in revisionism by disregarding transnational permutations and influences or advance American hegemony.

Since Matt Gaetz is a US politician criticizing a US organization to defend a US tv host, I tried to give the briefest possible US overview.

I don’t have time today to fully engage the mutual influence and merging conspiracies within the US and transnationally.
