Looks as if it was the Unions that sank it.

Nearly 80% of constituency parties backed it but 95% of affiliates agin it

GMB only Union in favour of PR?

This will go down like a bowl of cold sick.
Sorry. It looks as if the reference to the GMB was to the fact that no other Union SPOKE against the motion-just voted it down

So GMB is part of the reason this motion failed

This is not going to end well for Labour OR the Tory best friend Unions AGAIN

First Brexit now PR.

Union leaders appear to have no grasp which side their bread is buttered.

It was after he came out of ICU when he began to realize he had lost most of his hearing in his left ear.
“Anything I did hear had to be loud, and then it sounded like Charlie Brown’s teacher,” says Goldsmith, now 35..
He also had a static sound in that ear - tinnitus
He ended up having a cochlear transplant.
Vision. 10% of hospitalised patients in one 400 patient study experienced some vision disturbance.

One child tests positive Wednesday. Other children advised to do LFT but keep attending school.

Now LFT are just nasal swabs.

One family do LFT every day.
Not least because grandmother due to visit Saturday night.

Negative every day. In addition child in class with the positive student does PCR Thursday (-ve). Unsurprising as prob too soon

Negative LFT (nasal swab only) until Monday night. Positive.
Cold symptoms have developed.

But children have continued going to school per DfE advice.

By this morning (Tuesday) 7 children in a class of 30 tested positive using LFT.

School testing remainder of class. Now at least 10 have tested positive and more still to be tested

20 reasons why there is shortage of drivers in the UK – orynski.eu

Such a good blog from ⁦@TOrynski⁩ on the thorny issues surrounding 🇬🇧 lorry driver shortages.

And. No. Not ALL the issues are Brexit related..but it IS writ large orynski.eu/20-reasons-why…
And the attitude we have displayed as a Government and nation is deeply embarrassing.

Shameful.

As he says:-
“Let’s be honest. With broken promises, settled status or the need for visas, a hostile environment and the risk of being detained at the border, not many EU drivers would choose to work in Britain any more – imagine you are a Polish driver…

Children ‘paying the price’ for delayed approval of Covid vaccine, experts warn

“We’ve left it too late” as the 80% week-on-week rise in child infections has also fuelled an increase in cases in 30- 49 yr olds, which now stand at 286 per 100,000.
independent.co.uk/news/health/co…
“More than 100,000 children were absent from school with confirmed or suspected Covid infections in the week up to 16 September, while cases among those aged between five and 14 reached 811 per 100,000 for roughly the same period – a record high for the pandemic.”
“If the current growth rate in cases continues, it will only be a matter of weeks before the same number of children are out of school with Covid as during the summer term, when the “bubble” system forced some 1.1 million youngsters into isolation.”

Energy Prices rise after UK leaves EU Internal Energy Market - West England Bylines

“When the UK exited the EU, it did not address the many issues identified in its own plans, where plans existed.”
westenglandbylines.co.uk/energy-prices-…
The government ignored the EU Commission papers on the topic which identified in detail what risks existed to energy supply & balancing. It is almost as if the Government thought they could just fix issues as they ‘cropped up’ after the amateurish leaving agreement.

Guess what
They did not actually have the agility or energy to do the necessary grunt work.
