On Chelsea Defenders

Rudiger is the most nailed because he’s the only player who plays LCB in the Chelsea team

Alonso is very very very high risk high reward. Likely 90 mins or 0 which also helps.

Tiago Silva is a no. Plus he’s going to Brazil and we are Trying to avoid
those South American players.

Christensen - the best value out of all of them especially with aging defenders around him (Silva + Azpi) more nailed than people think. At 5.0m he’s a gift playing for the best defense in the league.

James 1.25 xgi in 180 mins. But injured 😔
Josh said repeatedly he’s worried about Chelsea being disjointed in attack. Making me think keeping Ronny one more week and not needing Lukaku till maybe GW9
4 teams are clearly ahead of the rest in terms of attack, with Liverpool quite simply in a different league. 140 shots in 6 games! This week they meet the elite defence, with City conceding just 2.2xGC this season.
Chelsea meanwhile, have taken half as many shots as Liverpool…
… and conceded more than triple the xGC than City 👀

This week the big choice for many will be whether you move from Ronaldo to Lukaku. It looks like like Rom has the fixture, but in the last 3 games Ronaldo has had as many big chances than Rom has had shots of any kind 🤯
@NetThatHaul w/ @FPLTIPZ (Chelsea Season ticket holder)
Harry on chips being overvalued:

‘there is a lot of talk on chips being a over rated/ burden but I completely disagree. Last season my three highest GW ranks were when I used my three chips and I believe they really helped me get to 3.8k.’
Harry on Ronaldo or Lukaku: they are pretty even assets but the 1m savings allows me to get a City or a Chelsea defender over a 5m player and that’s a difference maker

On Alonso - ‘I’ve spent enough of my life ripping my hair out watching MA in front of me being lazy and…
…putting in nothing and defending dreadfully, there is still part of me which thinks this man is not going to be our left back for the whole season. It’s going to come at some point.

Outside of Rudiger I don’t know where I want to go with the Che D, the others will rotate.
Nima (Arsenal fan) On Auba - it’s the cheapest he has ever been in any fantasy game in a decade (9.9m). Wonder if this new Arsenal team will see Auba upfront and Laca as backup the one to keep an eye on
Ziyech as a differential: Wouldn’t be going anywhere near our Midfielders at the moment, because of the way we play there are so many players toying with so few positions.
How much should we buy into fixture shifts?

Over the next 5 weeks there are a few individual teams we can highlight…

Leeds and Wolves an ongoing fixture shift, new fixture shift emerging this GW for the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea and after the IB, City and Sou come in…
Anthony: Our day dreams are led by fixtures but in reality our premiums are fixture proof. Fixtures can really drive us in bargain basement options, if you brought in the likes of White, Coady and Sar, if you brought them in
They have done well for you because of bringing them in this fixture shift.

Tom: Picking up the premiums to correspond with the fixtures is the strategy that appeals to me this year. Fixtures tend to beget form whatever that means but Lukaku plays SOU, Bre, NOR, New and BUR
In contrast Ronaldo plays EVE Lei LIV tot and MCI so it’s reasonable to thing that Chelsea are going to score more in the next 5 than United will.
7-9m Midfielders

Pranil - I just want to stick my neck on the line and say that in 3 weeks time we are all going to look at Phil Foden as an FPL asset. One to watch. I think he’s going to play a greater role than he has done so far.
On Man Utd: We are a Jeckll and Hyde…
… team, very capable of not doing anything. That said I do like Ronaldo as an option this GW v Everton.

Watkins - since he has come back he has had 4x the amount of chances as Ings has in the same time. They have now created clear cut attacking performances v Che and Utd
Bakar On Captaincy:

Everton and Southampton have more or less the same xGC (4.3 v 4.1) yet Everton are yet to face any of the sides in the top 8 for xG while Sou have faced every one in top 8.

Eve look a poorer team without DCL and Rich.

I’d edge Ron over Rom for cap this GW
Zoph on Chelsea:

There is bound to be a reaction to the City game where we had 0 shots on target (and Juve game) so there is an impetus to put on an attacking display.

Our attacking numbers haven’t been that good Mount and James is injured too.

Gun to my head cap is Lukaku
Ronaldo knocked off the top spot but still a monster in the stats. Antonio is playing like a premium. Jota matching Salah, showing his great value and should we really be ditching him right now? Lukaku 😳

GW 5 Stats - xG

Sarr 😍 - Another winger returning high xG numbers v Norwich could be one to target (Grey 🤔)
Budget Midfielders

Elyounoussi 5.5m could be one to have a look at come GW 8 when they have a never schedule.
