(At 4:45PM) Boss: Hey B, I know it's Monday night and your @Raiders are playing the football thing tonight, but the IT security team really screwed up and I'm going to need you to clean up their mess. Text me if you finish before 10. Thanks.
What really chaps my hide, is that tonight was the only night this week w/o an evening meeting.
Karma must be mad.
I logged in to try and identify the problem.
Our security team forgot to open the SQL port between our two servers (unsure why it was closed in the first place).
Update the firewall. Test changes thoroughly. Works. Duh!
Done in 30 minutes.
Claiming 4 hours comp time.
Next up:
Almost forgot:
Gave a demo today for the BOS senior staff.
My boss-boss and the CIO elbowed their way into this meeting to see what I'd produced on my special assignment.
Demo went well.
Then the BOS COS said "we knew it would be great because B is a genius."
Suck it, boss!

For @Bec_yeg and others:
"Satchmo" was the nickname of legendary trumpeter and vocalist Louis Armstrong.
Growing up in the 60s he was EVERYWHERE: Radio, TV and movies.
He was a very popular vocalist despite having a distinctive "rasp" in his voice. His duets with the legendary Ella Fitzgerald on songs by Cole Porter are simply magical. Listening to them brings me much joy.
This morning I was about to tweet regarding the song Mack The Knife. Bobby Darin sang what is likely the best known version of the song. But Satchmo recorded it first and included an ad-lib line that was covered as-is by Darin proving that he was simply modeling Armstrong.
