For @Bec_yeg and others:
"Satchmo" was the nickname of legendary trumpeter and vocalist Louis Armstrong.
Growing up in the 60s he was EVERYWHERE: Radio, TV and movies.
He was a very popular vocalist despite having a distinctive "rasp" in his voice. His duets with the legendary Ella Fitzgerald on songs by Cole Porter are simply magical. Listening to them brings me much joy.
This morning I was about to tweet regarding the song Mack The Knife. Bobby Darin sang what is likely the best known version of the song. But Satchmo recorded it first and included an ad-lib line that was covered as-is by Darin proving that he was simply modeling Armstrong.
Satchmo was often on TV and appeared in movies such as Academy Award winning "Hello Dolly" starring Barbara Streisand.
Armstrong is a giant of jazz laying the foundation for many other, modern jazz musicians who have come since. He has been featured in the PBS series on Jazz as well as Ken Burns' Jazz series. pbs.org/wnet/americanm…
That's my quick-n-dirty highlight on Louis "Satchmo" Armstrong for @Bec_yeg (and any other interested persons).
Break time is over. Time to get back to work.
(Thanks Bec for asking me to do this. It has made the morning much more bearable!)

(At 4:45PM) Boss: Hey B, I know it's Monday night and your @Raiders are playing the football thing tonight, but the IT security team really screwed up and I'm going to need you to clean up their mess. Text me if you finish before 10. Thanks.
What really chaps my hide, is that tonight was the only night this week w/o an evening meeting.
Karma must be mad.
I logged in to try and identify the problem.
Our security team forgot to open the SQL port between our two servers (unsure why it was closed in the first place).
Update the firewall. Test changes thoroughly. Works. Duh!
