A detailed post about royal Navaratri celebrations of Thiruvananthapuram, as per requests.!
When the Travancore Maharaja Karthika Thirunal ( they take name after their asterim- nakshtra)
shifted the capital from padmanabhapuram ( near kanyakumari) to Thiruvananthapuram,
He wanted the 9 day navaratri celebrations centered around Saraswathi devi of Padmanabhapuram go unhindered. and he wanted it to have all the royal splendor as well. For which he endowed a royal procession of saraswati devi to Thiruvananthapuram, She is accompanied by
munnuti Nangai( a form of durga)of Sucheendrom.
Legend goes that, Devasenapathy Skanda would accompany the two devis to thiruvanthapuram. its like a royal procession headed by a senapathy!
The deities meet at padmanabhapuram and start off the procession in palanquins!
They are given ceremonial gun salute at regular intervals in strategic points. they are given receptions en route and a rousing welcome by the royal family and the public on arrival in front of the Padmanabha Swami temple. 21 gun salute is offered by state police of kerala.
The Saraswathi idol, along with the sword, is then taken to the Navaratri Mandapam to be worshipped with rituals, music and dance for all days of the festival.

Skanda who has escorted the goddesses as the Senapathi or Commander, rides his silver horse, (believed to have been a gift from Velu Thampi Dalavai) .
upon their return journey ,skanda does a ceremonial royal hunt and makes sure that the pathway is safe for nangai and saraswathi
their return journey is a very sad event for the residents of Thiruvananthapuram .

This is how HRCE of TN govt manages temples

An example of Mandakkatu bhagavati temple, in southern tamilnadu .
A devaprashanam ( a complex astrological prodecure) was conducted and here are the key takeaways of which every single revelation is true!
(1)
(2) impure nivedya(bhog) is offered to deity
(3) food not offered to deity is sold as prasad to devotees ( what is this btw? is temple a bakery? )
(4) dirty fake silk and dress is used to adorn the deity
(5) the cleanliness of temple premises are pathetic beyond words (2)
(6) 40 acre land owned by temple is usurped by outsiders
(7) the parivara devathas( subshrines) are neglected and no worship is performed to them , this displeases the main deity
(8) gold, silk and wealth of temple is looted in large quantities

Miracles of our dharma
Can you imagine mount of ghee of about 13 feet height? surrounded by hundreds of lamps and doesn't melt in 42degree atmospheric heat ?
Well, you can witness this in this mahakshetra called Vadakkunatha temple , This temple in the heart of Thrissur city
is dedicated to Shiva and Rama The main deity of Shiva is covered with ghee from time immemorial, which have piled up over many years that no one in last few gen has seen the shivalinga inside. The ghee is never removed as per the isntructions of Lord dhanwantari.
Everyday about 4kg of ghee is offered as abhiseka, which is now done by climbing up a ladder. And on top of it tender coconut water is offered every evening.
Inspite of this, there is no foul smell in the sanctorum which will otherwise happen in normal similar circumstances

The irrigation tank of Madurantakam often gave way in heavy rains but the people of the place said their prayers to Ram, the presiding deity of the local temple. He always answered them and protected the tank bund from bursting. Lt.Col. Pierce, the British
Collector of Chingleput is closely associated with a pastime. Pierce said if that were true and if God protected the tank bund that day, he would donate for temple renovation. That night, Pierce was standing some distance away from the bund and anxiously watching if it would
break in the heavy rain. He suddenly noticed two effulgent figures carrying bows and arrows walking up and down. That night, no damage happened to the bund. The next day, Pierce kept his word. A plaque in the divine mother’s shrine speaks of the British Collector’s donation.

Today,a large number of devotees witnessed Nammazhwar Moksham ritual which happens on the 10th day of 2nd half of Adhyanotsavam every year.The ritual signifying Moksham(liberation) was performed for an hour from 6 a.m.The divine form of Nammazhwar
was taken out and was placed at the holy feet of Namperumal, marking the end of the 20-day Vaikunta Ekadasi festival.

Nammazhvaar didn’t want ‘life’ anymore. He asked for Moksham on the very first day. Nammazhvaar’s desire to attain Moksham is said to have been as big as the Image

Gopastami in kerala!
Cows were always worshipped in bhathadesa , but the influence of demonic cults like commies & ME attempted to change the concept and this had terrible repercussions on the society. Today many devotees of cows restarted
the ancient tradition of gopastami in kerala.

Why is Kerala a 100 percent literate state? Thanks to Her Highness Sree Padmanabhasevini Vanchi Dharma Vardhini Raja Rajeshwari Maharani Uthrittathi Thirunal Gowri Parvathi Bayi, She is first one to start free education system in the whole world for that matter.
The beginning of modern education in Travancore can be traced to the issue of the Royal Rescript by Rani in 1817. Consider the fact that the "universal education" was not practiced in most countries, including those in the West at this point of time.
