More defensive leaks to the NYTs.

The Swamp creatures always get their narrative out first to NYT's before the real news is released.

Claiming foreign intel agencies flipped CIA sources & fed us disinformation. Killing sources that didn't flip too...
web.archive.org/web/2021100516…
CIA sent a secret memo to all it's station revealing the agency has been investigating dozens of cases of recruited informants being killed, captured or compromised to feed the CIA false information.
The need to leak this one is clear to spin CIA as the victim..
In Russia, China & other locations, foreign intel have been hunting down our sources to turn them into double agents.
Claiming that some at CIA put their 'mission' ahead of security that would protect their sources. Sources that were soon feeding them disinformation...
New technology, including hacking tools, allowed hostile intel agencies to identify CIA officers & find their sources. Says CIA was sloppy because recruiting new sources got you promoted, not figuring out your sources were double agents.
So the secret cable was to remind CIA officers that their sources may be compromised double agents because the officers lead the enemy to them.
Here's the buried lede...
Sloppiness & neglect are blamed as teh culprits but people in senior positions are never held responsible...

Which tells me that senior officials are responsible for cases exposed in the review conducted by CIA...
That is the news they are deflecting.
It sounds like the memo is from CIA AD for Counterintelligence, who early thi year warned retired CIA officers to stop working for foreign governments.
The CIA doesn't know how many assets were turned into double agents to feed the US disinformation, but this report likely documented some specific cases.

Likely CIA networks compromised in the effort to frame Trump for colluding with Russians.
Even CIA & US military officers were compromised & recruited.
Many have long speculated that Russia also breached CIA's "covcom" covert commo system but turned our agents instead of killing them like China & Iran did...
One alleged CIA source, was FSC cyberintel chief Sergei Mikhailov who was convicted of treason after passing information in 2016 thru Kaspersky to a US cybercrime analyst connected to FBI. Wonder if it was Joffe or one of his researchers?
nbcnews.com/news/world/rus…
Two of Mikhailov's subordinates at FSB were indicted by DOJ's National Security Division in March of 2017 for hacking Yahoo...
mcclatchydc.com/news/nation-wo…
Another US asset in Moscow was moved to the USA in May 2017 to protect them, but had ALL the hallmarks of a double agent. He had been removed of his job at the Kremlin, but continued feeding the CIA information. Resisting leaving Russia too...
cnn.com/2019/09/09/pol…
The source had to be removed because media coverage of the sources for intel about Trump Russia were exposing the sources existence.
Why was this spy at risk, & why did the Obama Admin try to extract him in Dec. 2016?
Because he was the source of the intel used to write the Intel Community assessment claiming Putin wanted Trump to win...
The source didn't stay secret for long...
Because another defensive leak to the NYT's in Feb. 2020 showed that Durham's investigation was focusing on this Russian source & the CIA personnel who handled him.
What was Durham investigating?
CIA Director Brennan hiding information from other agencies that prevented them from quickly determining that the Trump Russia allegations was false. So you see why they need another leak today...
Who wrote the defensive leaks in NYT's in February?

2 of the them are responsible for today's story!
What was Durham investigating?
The allegation that Brennan was manipulating the intelligence process, blocking participation by 14 agencies, to get his collusion narrative.
What was the big issue? The identity of Brennan's secret source in Moscow & the potential that they were a double agent. Did Brennan disregard security to meet with this source in March 2016 & allow the Russians to identify our source & flip them?
To protect his source, Brennan removed the intelligence from the Presidential Daily Briefing, & told the President in private. Removing all of the quality assurance checks before intel goes into the PDB.
What else became a big concern? A set of data provided to the CIA, but that the NSA didn't want to see the names of the US persons included in the raw data. because it was illegal for NSA.
Now it seems likely this is Joffe's spying effort!
Given to CIA by Sussmann? We will see...
The Senate Intel Committee found that CIA had to ignore all the post Iraq WMD safeguards to complete the ICA to Brennan's satisfaction.
Durham was also exploring if anyone at CIA fed information to the FBI to trick them into believing the Russia allegations were true.
We get back to Brennan's source so secret that he removed them from PDB fact checking & quality control.
The source was identified as Oleg Smolenkov living openly under his own name in Virginia.
Oleg Smolenkov was found because he bought a $925k home in Northern Virginia, likely with his rewards from CIA and/or FSB.
The Russian's let him go, their double agent had succeeded in destroying US confidence in the 2016 elections.

OIG report on FBI compliance with fact reviews in Woods Procedures for FISA applications.
#ButNothingsHappening
It is important to note that there is a wide range of non-compliance. I did threads on it at the time, only 4 of the 209 errors found were deemed material. IIRC all in the @CarterWPage FISA. Others were simple errors or lazy habit.
I recall many of those non-compliant Woods references were for doing things such as putting the name & reference to the confirming fact like a footnote in a paper. But not printing the original document and adding it to the Woods File.

I didn't know that there was a LODESTAR method of calculating attorney's fees in Class Action Settlements...
These cases are a huge shakedown industry. Where investigators dig in SEC filings & other reporting, then sue companies for false statements & activities affecting stocks.
What are the odds that I would trip over that information while reading a settlement between the Indiana Public Retirement System (Swampy pension funds) and Neustar agreeming to pay a settlement after the case was dismissed but before an appeal was heard. courtlistener.com/docket/5234124…
Did Neustar settle to avoid discovery of its actions to retain the FCC contract?
Was the suit filed to gain leverage over Neustar?
Why was Gov. Mike Pence's Public Retirement System selected as the lead plaintiff?
Was it just a shakedown for cash?
Or did they want something more?

I guess @JustinTrudeau efforts to block the prosecution of SNC-Lavalin have not been successful.
This is a local case, so can’t be spun as Canadians needing to pay bribes overseas to protect Canadian jobs.
#ButNothingsHappening
@JustinTrudeau After Trudeau was caught firing his Attorney General for refusing orders to obstruct the prosecution of SNC-Lavalin, they were forced to plead guilty for paying bribes to the Khadaffi’s.

@JustinTrudeau Algeria’s President of 20 years was forced to resign over corrupt infrastructure deals including deals with SNC-Lavalin.

Revelations from the #SussmanIndictment led me to info that exposes a much bigger conspiracy!
I’ve found information that connects the Huber investigation into theft of @NSA data to Durham’s investigation of the Clinton Campaign!
It’s worse than we thought!
#ButNothingsHappening
Yesterday @musescry mentioned my 1st thread on Twitter in May 2018, where I laid out the case that from at least 2015, Hillary Clinton & her oppo research team (Cody Shearer & Sid Blumenthal) were under investigation for having illegal access to NSA data.
To sum up, Blumenthal was emailing HRC NSA intercepted data & reports until he got hacked by Guccifer.
State Dept released 1 of these emails publicly, not knowing it was NSA reporting. NSA & FBI began an investigation into how Hillary was getting NSA intercepts in private emails

@nimkef has a great thread on Neustar, the company that is the clear favorite to be Internet Company-1 in the #SussmannIndictment.
It's making me reevaluate my identification on US Agency-1 in both the indictment & the 3 letter agency redacted from the FISC "about queries" ruling
I have previously speculated that the agency in the FISC case where contractors got access to raw FISA data, was the CIA. As that case noted it was another agency that got the FBI to give contractors access to the data.

dni.gov/files/document…
Since 2018, the primary speculation has been that the 3 letter agency behind the first redaction is CIA.
But Neustar's relationship with FCC makes be now feel it is the agency behind this MoU to provide illegal access to NSA raw data.
