The sad story of a small business crushed by draconian overregulation:
Hi @DrWoodcockFDA , I wanted to give you the human side of what's now done. I quit smoking w/ #vaping over 9 years ago, and w/ $400 I started my vape business. I was driven by an evangelical need to-1/12

to spread the word about this miracle that broke my 33 year 2 pack a day #smoking habit.
Business grew, and customers came, and then I realized I had a good thing going-helping people; it was brilliant-you could see the change in them for the better each time 2/12

they came. I decided I may have stumbled upon the #AmericanDream as I outgrew my 1st shop, moved and opened a second. All helping people. It grew from a thousand dollars a week to well over a million $ a year-with every cent of taxes paid, steady, fulfilling employment etc. 3/12

Nine years, and never a single issue w/ a customer becoming anything even close to ill. In fact-too many often thanked me for “saving their lives.” I couldn’t take credit for that, I said I was a messenger, and tasked them w/ helping the next smoker they met w/ the solution 4/12

from their deadly bondage to smoking. There was information coming for years that FDA regulation would come, and we kept our business clean, vetted products, we readied. Regulations came-let me rephrase: denial to market letters came fast to 99% of the good players in this 5/12

consumer grown industry, and then, w/ zero time to prepare, you, the @FDA… and the haphazard, obtuse, and zero detail guidance you'd promised us-we strove to comply-you shuttered me, holding the bag, most of my retirement tied up in already purchased inventory, overnight. 6/12

The teens will continue to buy their cheap Chinese disposables from C-stores and bodegas-containing God knows what ingredients besides potentiated and powerful nicotine salts, as they have for the past several years. We've always age verified w/ state of the art software-7/12

Now, w/ your sick addiction to the taxes, MSA payouts you ALL borrowed against, and life shortening, profitable disease causing #cigarettes stay available on every corner...waiting for my customers to return 8/12

Me and my 9 employees will leave without jobs, thanks to greed and misdirection of the public that vaping is so bad-it's even worse than cigarettes right?
History will remember you as a big part of the reason you don’t see downtown small businesses any more-there will 9/12

remain chain pharmacies, group medical centers and labs, grocery and big box stores. A huge lie to leave ghost town of what once was; a vibrant and beautiful country.

I wish ill to no person-but you will have to deal with Karma. I've heard She can be a blessing or a bitch 10/12

and all of the corrupt "body parts" orgs, financed by fostering diseases I once believed they existed to eliminate; making a darker world than the one you entered. @ParentsvsVape @MikeBloomberg @truthinitiative @AmericanCancer @LungAssociation you've added nothing to our 11/12

lives, and saved not a youth or a soul from a "lifetime of addiction." You've instead condemned millions to shorter lives, ending in terrified gasps for air, or other horrible ways. What would your mothers think if they knew the real truth; it can't hide much longer. 12/12

Just another #WarOnDrugs w/ casualties to accumulate as consumer-helping, friendly people that know your struggle against cigarettes are unemployed, and one of the most genuine “boutiques” that our country needs so much for community shutters its doors. @ethannadelmann

This is a little crazy-BUT-not one soul from @SBAgov or @FDATobacco or @CDCgov or @Surgeon_General has contacted me at all offering condolences. Hmmph, I know govt isn’t emotional, but I’ve been the agent for well over a million buck of taxes, + not even a note or card? 😢
