[Cordelia Cruise Drugs Case] Delhi High Court Delhi based event organizer Arjun Jain who has moved court aggrieved by media reports from @IndiaToday over his alleged involvement in the case despite no summons having been issued to him by the @narcoticsbureau

HC: Mr. Pujari you have to learn some.. she's not arguing the case.

Court tells the parties that if anything is to be filed they may do so in the next half an hour so the court can hear the matter after lunch.

Counsel Pujari: Under the CTVN Rules, I'm called upon to first approach the channel @IndiaTV and after a lapse of 15 days I'm to approach the Respondent No.1.

HC: Mr.Pujari even if I ask them to present their affidavit, etc what is your present prayer?

Pujari: If I go by CTVN Rules, I'll have to wait almost 15+60 days before I get any relief, despite the fact that several High Courts have said several times how reporting to be done.

Pujari: @IndiaToday published my photo, very clearly, and then there was a lady standing outside my building, asking questions.

Pujari refers to published picture attached in compilation.

Pujari: Before that, without any notice from NCB, they name me in an article.. "The Men of Good Times" article and refer to a previous record. If I try to bring up previous records in a trial court the judge will castigate me saying..

HC: Yes, yes.

Pujari reads out the article.

HC: What are they saying about you, let's understand that.

Pujari: It says the NCB is looking for three more employees who are currently absconding - the insinuation is on me.

HC: Why are you assuming that?

Pujari: If I was on the radar, I would've got some inkling of idea.

Pujari: They say the bigger you are, harder you fall. I have not fallen but they want me to fall. Why are they doing this?

Pujari: What I'm trying to indicate is that if the police can't do it for an acquitted accused surely the media can't do it for someone even the @narcoticsbureau did not implicate.

HC: Yes Mr. Pujari, and please at this stage you're only arguing for interim.

Pujari: I'll be very concise.

HC: Where is the question of estoppel at this stage? Whether they said A, B, C - ultimately what have they done?

Pujari: What's categorical is the Bombay High Court said they are not supposed to prejudice any ongoing criminal cases.

HC: Those are only suggestions, not directions.

Pujari: What @IndiaToday has done is included my name in the case for alleged involvement - NCB doesn't say so, I don't say so but India Today says, "I say so."

Pujari: They've taken pictures of tobacco rolling paper, this is available outside High Court also, why doesn't @IndiaToday stand outside here and take pictures?

Justice Palli: Why should I hear people like you?? If they're making unsubstantiated statements so are you.

HC: File whatever you have to file, I'll see it.

Pujari: I'm sorry My Lords, I realize I've been intemperate, I whole heartedly take my statements back.

HC: And you should be.

HC: Mr. Jain is not as important as you're trying to make him

@IndiaToday: I've only published things from public domain and what I've come to know from sources. I'm nowhere saying he's accused, simply saying his name is there on the lines somewhere - if as a media house I can't do that, then, I don't know.

@IndiaToday says about Delhi event organizing company founder Arjun Jain that Jain is trying to short-circuit the whole process provided in the CTVN Rules, to address his grievances against publications with respect to the Cordelia Cruises drugs case.

Delhi High Court dictates order in Cordelia Cruise Drugs case.

HC: The grievance of the petitioner is that even though he's a well known entrepreneur with best business practices - Justice Palli pauses and smiles -

Pujari: They give free water in concerts My Lords, normally people charge Rs.300 just for water.

HC: He mentions that he has been compelled to approach this court, and seeks creation of an emergency grievance redressal system, inter alia.

HC: @IndiaToday submits that Arjun Jain doesn't himself come with clean hands - it's not like you've not been arrested before. Though I find merit in that the Petitioner has tried to conceal, I am of the view that the guidelines need to be examined.
