I have no wish to tell someone else about the “right” way to dress or present - or (something deeper and less easy to express verbally) how to “be”
But I worry a lot about decision making for kids (who may be in quite a plastic stage of physical/emotional/psychological development in particular) being rushed into irreversible processes.
I can also see that delay can also cause pain.
A sense of being “out of joint” with yourself in the world.
I do know someone who has made the change with a profound sense of integrity along the way.
But she had a lot of time to do so and did not make big, life changing decisions until adulthood.
Which of us really wishes to impose unhappiness on another human being trying to find their authentic way in the world?
Not many I would hope.
If this thread attracts abuse or aggression I shall block because I regard that an unhelpful, unwise and not deserving of interaction.

Like all cults, Borisology is detached from reality and destined to end badly
“The Conservative & Unionist party is no more. It has ceased to be. It has expired and gone to meet its maker….” theguardian.com/commentisfree/…
“It’s kicked the bucket, shuffled off its mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the choir invisible. This is an ex-party.
It has been replaced by the Boriservative & Johnsonist party. “
The tone was set by Oliver Dowden, not so much the party chairman as the PM’s rep on Earth. “We are all just bit players,” said Mr Dowden, telling everyone else that they were irrelevant, before referring to the principal player as “our prize stallion, our rampaging rhino”.
Isolate if you have Covid symptoms but negative PCR, says local health official
What the hell is going on?
Price, an A&E doctor from Bath of her teenage daughter: “She became ill on the Tuesday and had a vomiting bug…. theguardian.com/world/2021/oct…
…. I think a few people have started vomiting and being off school. She did a lateral flow, and we thought, ‘It’s not going to be Covid,’ but it was strongly positive. And she did multiple ones, and they were positive, and so did some of her friends…..
“Then she lost her sense of smell, which is a classic Covid symptom – but she had a PCR that was negative, her friend had a PCR which was negative, and she went on to have another one which was negative.”…..
Tory councillor in Worthing suspended over alleged support of far right
“My view is Covid is a loss maker for us, we just need to centre on white genocide […] because many of our white race are convinced about vaccines, but not about our replacement” theguardian.com/politics/2021/…
- apparently he uses a different name on that SM - and I can see why.
In another, he is said to have urged fellow members to “remember the 14 words”, a ref to the 14-word white supremacist slogan: “We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children.”
Looking at death certification data of Covid deaths by date of death to 24th Sept, then addicting 28 day deaths by date of death from 25th Sept onwards (which will be an undercount due to notification lag)
1 in every 406 citizens have had a Covid related death.
By next month, at current rates of death, we will be talking about 1 in three hundred and ninety+ U.K. citizens have had Covid related deaths which I find very bleak.
