At the height of Hamas' 11-day rocket-firing campaign against Israel in May, the @NYTimes printed a guest essay by Refaat Alareer @itranslate123, a man with a history of indisputably antisemitic tweets. 
Alareer has blamed *Jews* for the murder of hundreds of thousands of their own at the hands of the Nazis.
And he has openly admitted to committing acts of violence. Not exactly a voice for non-violence and reconciliation.
An @HonestReporting analysis of Alareer’s Twitter profile shows that over the last two years he posted at least 115 tweets comparing the Jewish state and Israelis to Nazi Germany and Adolf Hitler.
Ironically, Alareer in January denounced The New York Times for supporting “nazi Israel” — just months before the “newspaper of record” provided him with a platform to spew his venom.
Alareer has furthermore asserted that Israel is “nazi Germany on steroids [sic]” and that Zionism and Nazism “are two cheeks of the same dirty arse.”
He has also insisted that “Israel is following nazism to the letter” and that proponents of the nation are part of a “far more dangerous cult than nazism.”
The tweets are part of a despicable wider trend attempting to link and compare Israel to the Nazis.

When writers exhibit such grotesque antisemitism, their reporting on the Arab-Israeli conflict cannot be trusted and should not be given a platform.
As such, HonestReporting calls on @NYTimes and other outlets to stop giving avid Jew-haters like @itranslate123 the opportunity to misinform the public.
