Correction: today's vote was not a record at the UNHRC in opposing a Durban resolution.

In 2006, for example, 13 countries voted No: ap.ohchr.org/documents/E/HR…

In 2015, 12 voted No (including Namibia which later said it made a mistake & meant to vote Yes): ap.ohchr.org/documents/dpag…

Dear UNHRC President @NazhatsKhan,

On Friday you cut me off while presenting a report on UNRWA teachers' systemic antisemitism. You read out a prepared statement accusing me of "inflammatory remarks" and ruled me out of order.

I urge you to apologize and rescind your ruling.
Otherwise, I will be calling on U.N. Secretary-General @AntonioGuterres to publicly declare:

1. That my quoting of antisemitic posts by UN teachers can in no way be characterized as "derogatory, insulting and inflammatory remarks" nor as "personal attacks."
2. That the highest human rights body of the United Nations has just sent a dangerous message to the world when, without any basis, you summarily and arbitrarily blocked me from presenting a report about systemic antisemitism incited daily by the teachers of UNRWA, a UN agency.

🚨 CENSORED: @UN_HRC just stopped me from calling out UNRWA teachers who glorify Hitler & incite antisemitism. Chair says I made "derogatory, insulting & inflammatory remarks"—by quoting their own Facebook posts. "This amounts to personal attacks. This statement is out of order."
UNHRC Chair Nazhat Khan is making up a rule that does not exist.

I have every right to quote the racist Facebook posts of UNRWA teachers—funded with hundreds of millions by US, Germany, EU, Canada—and to name them.

BRAVO: 🇸🇪 Sweden pulled out of Durban IV.

@SweMFA: "Sweden is not participating in the UN meeting celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Durban Declaration and action plan. There is a long and politically charged history behind the Durban Conference and its follow-up meetings.
The previous conferences have inter alia been criticized for not adequately addressing the issue, that is, the fight against racism. They have also been criticized for having antisemitic elements and for directing disproportionate criticism of Israel.

Several countries therefore do not associate the Durban Conference with the fight against racism, and the process has been politicized. As a result, several countries have chosen not to participate at all in previous conferences, as in today's meeting.
