Presidential Adviser for Entrepreneurship Sec. Joey Concepcion: We have to open the economy because this is the last quarter. This is the time when most negosyantes can get back what they lost in the previous months.
And eventually, if we're able to go down to Level 1 by November or even December, then they should open up more and that can go up to 70%
Sec. Concepcion: Ito ang pahanon that we should start to live with COVID. At kung pabagsak yung trajectory ng infection level, then we should open up more and more.
Sec. Concepcion: We should keep an eye out. If it reverses, then we pull back so we can push back. But now, it's only one quarter left until the end of the year, ibigay na natin ito sa mga negosyante para mabuhay sila until next year.
Sec. Concepcion says the level of vacicnation acceptance in the private sector is high: Umaabot ng 90-100%. Marami ang gustong magpabakuna.
Sec. Concepcion says they are looking into vaccinating the children of employees: We have to vaccinate everyone in the family bubble as we are looking into vaccinating everybody in the negosyo bubble
Sec. Concepcion: Ngayon na approved na ang Pfizer at Moderna for children by our FDA and they are testing for 12 to 17... Once that passes, then we can be given the go signal to vaccinate.
DOE Oil Industry Management Bureau Director Rino Abad says the cause of recent oil price increases is the "fundamental insufficiency of crude oil supply" in the international market
DOE: Natapos na ang consultation with LTFRB at hinihintay na lang ngayon sa kanila ay yung kanilang eventual decision on how much; or if there is a fare hike, how much ang fare hike.
DOE says there are discussions on cash assistance that could be given in case a fare hike will not happen
DOE encourages the public to look at offers given by different oil companies concerning discounts and incentives.
DOE also advises the public on wiser consumption of fuel, encourages them to use public transportation whenever possible.
LTFRB executive director Joel Bolano says they are waiting for the petition of PUV drivers for a request for fare adjustment
LTFRB says the government's Libreng Sakay program is continuing nationwide
LTFRB says unauthorized fare increases should be reported so the operator and driver can be made to explain
